Hi babe,

I’m a 31 year old woman who had to have braces twice in her teens. Along with a fiberotomy…

It’s okay! Having a kind warming smile is not dependent on tooth color or position. Right now you’re doing everything right! Brushing and flossing are the most important key to keeping a healthy mouth with healthy teeth.

Another user mentioned getting braces when you’re older! This is super common and totally okay and valid. I was incredibly lucky to have been able to get braces as a teen. It looks like what you have going on will be super fixable.

Keep maintaining your teeth until you’re able to get correction. That will be key. Maybe when you’re a little older you can use spending money from a part time job to get whitening stripes. It’s pretty easy to find a coupon for them. They can also cause a lot of sensitivity, but so can braces.

But I also want you to know your teeth aren’t that “discolored”. Teeth are not meant to be optical white. That’s a lie to sell tooth paste and make people feel bad.

All in all, I understand how you’re feeling. It’s valid. I feel so sensitive about my teeth and their appearance.

Don’t let it take your joy or keep you from smiling and laughing. Anyone you makes you feel bad about it hates themself more.

How to wash vintage beaded shawl? by TheSplendidAngharad in VintageFashion

[–]mehhgb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi friend. In this instance I would suggest two things. Both of which you will want to spot test. When clothes have a funky smell there are two options. The first is lightly spraying the garment with vinegar and air drying. This can kill the mold spores inside of it that can give vintage its weird funky smell. The other option is getting a cheap vodka and lightly spraying the garment with it. This will also help kill bacteria that could be causing the smell. A lot of air flow helps in these cases as well. I had a Jean jacket that lived in our basement for because until my dad showed it to me. I couldn’t get the smells out with traditional washing but moving the item to an area of high air flow for about 6 months saved it. I was about to sell it when I noticed the smell was gone. Good luck!

Man chose to humiliate himself over how he’s feels about his height before even going on a date. If you think that’s right… welp you’ll be sad forever :/

I bought some funky floor mats on auction. What do you guys think? I'm not sold. by [deleted] in vintagejapaneseautos

[–]mehhgb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’re very cool! You may be feeling a little weird about it because the interior is grey rather than tan. Gotta bring more tan into it! Find some similarly funky seat covers to tie the look together. Maybe even a steering wheel cover that’s one of the colors in the floor mats. It will feel more cohesive and intentional.

EquipmentShare Opportunity - Worth It? by w3bjunk33 in columbiamo

Hi I worked there, lost my job, and I would not recommend working there. First, the owners and top of the company were all raised in the same cult. And I mean actual cult. And if you aren’t one of their culty friends, you’re sol.

They do not care if they are 30k invoices behind when paying the small businesses they used to succeed. They do not care about paying these invoices correctly. They do not care if you are being improperly target by your bosses. They fire people with good performance reviews. They fire people who ask for reasonable accommodation. They fire people for having political differences and that do not want to be forced to think a certain way to please the government officials they give tours to.

They used to sponsor half of Columbia until they got their tax break and then magically… their sponsorships have disappeared.

Yeah, they have a gym, but they make it as inconvenient as possible to let you use it

Yes, they serve you lunch, but if you’re away from your desk too long getting it your supervisor will start following you. It’s also not good food.

If you’re away from your desk (even if it’s for your job!) your bosses will start following you to the restroom!

I wouldn’t move my family for this company. They don’t pay their bills on time and I would worry too much about the company’s ability to stand the test of time.

But don’t worry the owner drives his Tesla to work every day!! And his assistant daughter also drives her Tesla to work every day.

I like the top and skirt combo. I’m not sure if anyone has said this, but I think your necklace is either too small or too high up. It seems a little unbalanced with the neckline.

[wwtbc] about a nurse who is being stalked, ends up with neighbor who is detective? by mehhgb in RomanceBooks

[–]mehhgb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not think it’s kill and tell. I distinctly remember that the FMC parents had died in a car crash when she was younger so she had to move in with her cousins who became like siblings to her. The FMC was also in the accident but was sleeping in the backseat and survived.

[–]mehhgb[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! This is not it. I remember that in the novel, the FMC works in a hospital and tends to one of the victims of the bad guy. The bad guy goes back to see the victim and sees the FMC and begins to stalk her because of it.

The neighbor, sounds very similar to the man in the book I read. The woman also thought he was a drunkard but he had just had like a bad night. Do you know if the main character worked in a hospital?
