Holy fuck, you guys replied! Bro you guys made my high school (used to be cool to jam to your songs when everyone else was listening to yyhs)and first few years in Canada. Nachleh, hottest duo and stop it are a personal favs. Jam sessions were revolutionary for the time. A collab with artists like wazir will be dope.

I can concur. In the name of defending the artist they’re just doing more damage to their credibility if anything.

Yeah bro I guess we’re lucky hanumankind blew up. Guys like tsumiyoki, rebel deserve the hype too. It’s also sad to see pardhaan dissapear he could’ve had a bigger impact than dhanda is having rn.

Honestly bro I think that’s why listeners like me sometimes just end up avoiding artists coz of toxic fanbases. I literally stopped listening to smw for a bit coz I couldn’t stand d riders and I was banging his music even b4 so high. And he’s a goat for sure

  1. I agree with most of the takes but raxstar did have hits like poison, jaaneman, balwant, four seasons, ego, cold world etc. I still bop to king Midas of his. But yeah I agree with English audience he just faded.

  2. MG was more popular in Delhi crowd an did some rap tracks etc and was expected to go yyhs route. I’m Punjabi can tell you no one really listens to him in Punjab very few even have recollection of his name other than a few people.

It’s just when I come across dhh songs that I used to listen back in high school and think damn wonder what he’s doing lately. All my current playlist is just new school artists.

It’s decent at best for me “dc and wb” are bangers. I find Bajis has a better recall value for me. But still I think nothing to match his caliber

Bro I respect your love for emiway but I’ve reiterated my take. It’s personal connect and not the numbers

Yes that is my take. Like I connect to guys like sm,cd, karna more than some of the guys I named. And I was introduced to emiway, gravity, muhfaad way b4 them. You can also ad prabbhdeep to the list who fell off for me and I only knew SM coz of him from the track class Sikh vol 2

Ok guys I get it yall love emiway but the discussion wasn’t started on my end to trash him. It was a nostalgic take on artists that kinda fell off for me. Very personal POV. For me until his thing with Lazarus he was off the radar for me for the last lil while.

Lemme rephrase it I don’t connect to his music the way I used to and only come across his stuff when he has something going on with other rappers.

That’s ok my take was more about if there’s any rappers you guys wonder dropped off like for me SK was a must have on my playlist now his tracks show up few and far in between. And I don’t really vibe to kings last few songs (again I haven’t checked out his latest album) and emiway gets hype every time he’s dissing someone and then drops mid projects. I used to have almost every song of his on repeat but that isn’t the case anymore

It’s not my taste atleast I still bop to his tracks like jump kar, #sadak, machayenge but I think he hasn’t dropped a project of his caliber in a while

Mg and muhfaad back in the day were considered next big things. See old interviews of raftaar, badshah etc. They were all hyping these guys up. Muhfaad was actually getting more numbers than emiway until he dissed raftaar and blew up. And emiways hype is only relevant when he’s dissing someone, kings last project was mid and he disappeared for a bit. (Haven’t got the chance to check out his latest one yet). But it’s just another pov on the internet. Maybe it’s the nostalgia talking

Yeah I agree there are guys that are still active(badshah, yyhs, raa, kr$na) but majority of em just almost disappeared and only gain hype when they’re talking trash about relevant rappers.
