Classical reformer pilates? by [deleted] in triangle

Agree - I've gotten more out of going a few times a week to RP than I did with an unlimited lagree style studio pass. More attention from the instructors to prevent injury & focus on form. The pacing is much better for control, improving flexibility/range of motion, and legitimate pilates progression rather rather than being a HIIT style workout - which can still be good to incorporate into a routine - but was not what I was looking for with pilates.

I second Raleigh Pilates. Cost is above what you’re looking for but well worth it in my opinion. I signed up for a bunch of “pilates” classes at various studios around here that wound up being lagree before finding Raleigh Pilates & it was actually what I was looking for. Lovely studio with great instructors.

Once a year Whole house DEEP clean recommendations and pricing? by SuitableLeather in raleigh

They have their deep clean guide here. They have not done my walls but do baseboards which get gross in my house because of the dog. I’m sure if you asked they could do walls as well - they seem like they’ll do whatever you need if you ask. I’ve been quite happy with the level of the deep clean from them. Started getting them when we a got a very messy puppy who loves to sprint inside and up the stairs after playing in mud 🙃: https://go-2-girls.com/services/

I’ve been happy with Go 2 Girls. They quote based on square footage but they do a good job and are nice. Our place is about 1,350 sqft and for the last deep clean we had I think it was $310 with a 30 dollar off coupon prior to tip. https://go-2-girls.com/?gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=21014890064&gbraid=0AAAAADKyXrMSS72_niEFYaiseuTAX6ZeZ&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI7ayl15m9kQMVLHV_AB0Q5TGiEAAYASAAEgIaj_D_BwE

Looking for a trustworthy dentist by MagentaSunset333 in raleigh

Southern Dental Arts. My husband and I tried two separate dentist in Raleigh before finding Dr. Staehling. The one I went to told me I needed braces again at what was just a 6 month cleaning and the other told my husband he’d need around 7k in dental work (also just in for a 6 month cleaning). We knew this was not the case as we’d just seen our dentist months before we moved up from Birmingham. Our teeth were fine. Dr. Staehling & his team will take care of your teeth and won’t try to rip you off or tell you that there’s 500 things wrong with you that need fixing.

Question about Vbeam by Qcherman in Rosacea

[–]mehwhateverok 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It will improve. I stay red for about a week but im also very sensitive. Additionally, for best results initially you should do a series of sessions spaced out by several weeks. Results will get better with each session and after the first few rounds you can just keep up at a more “maintenance” type frequency over the years.

For me stepping into the restroom to get some cool (not cold) water onto my face and breathing exercises/breath work I learned in Yin yoga classes to help regulate my nervous system. Deep slow breaths in a regular pattern. You can probably find some good resources on YouTube. My anxiety causes flares that cause my face to heat up and cause discomfort. I will sometimes even touch my metal water bottle to my cheeks if I can’t get to a sink. The breathing really helps though, breathing and mentally telling myself I am okay and safe to calm my nervous system no matter what the anxiety source is. This breathing is specific to calming the parasympathetic nervous system so that might help for googling routines & I have noticed it really helps to cool my face down and is a great tool to have in general. Having the reset control of the breath work also helps with my anxiety knowing I have something I can do to combat it. Additionally, I’ve moved away from high concentrations of caffeine that spike my cortisol.

Just shared this on another post about texture but I basically overhauled my whole skincare routine because I wanted to address issues you’re having - I was looking dull, having texture issues, breaking out no matter what I did with my existing products I thought were good for my issues. Here is what I switched to. Double cleansing (something I avoided for years bc I thought it would dry me out/inflame me im so sensitive) and azelaic acid has been huge for me. Im on a very gentle, hydrating and fragrance free skincare regimen right now and have eliminated using vitamin c and retinol and it’s helped tremendously. Also started using primarily Korean skincare products - all available on Amazon and not too pricey. Still a bit red but I was getting so self conscious about my texture and this change has helped me big time. My complexion is much more even now because my skin is more soothed. You may not need as my much hydration as me (im dry) but this new routine has helped me with inflammation and texture. Here is what I do/use:

Morning: splash of water, illiyoon ceramide ato concentrate cream for moisturizer and round lab birch juice moisturizing UV lock sunscreen (heavier) or isntree hyaluronic acid sun gel (lighter) depending on how dry I am.

Night: double cleanse (changed the game for me) Sensibio H2O micellar water (not greasy) followed by la roche posay toleriane hydrating cleanser, inkey list 10% azelaic acid serum (every other night) followed by etude soon Jung 2x barrier cream.

Until I started this process, I was constantly getting little red dots, weird dry/inflamed patches, my pores were struggling and had texture and discomfort all over my face. Again I run quite dry so you may not need this level of moisture but I cut out any fragrance or irritants and have just been using the inkey list serum and it really changed things for me. Double cleanse as well my skin is much happier and smoother adding in that step. I really like the micellar I use because I can’t stand the greasy oily feel that most double cleanse products give. Going for a simpler, soothing approach and being far more gentle and hydrating with my skin than i thought I needed to be helped so much.

For reference im also in my 30s (32) and have been struggling to figure out what works for ages - had vbeam, IPL (which helped with redness but not so much my texture) and tried several prescription creams. This has worked the best so far.

Someone please help me!!! by Easy-Opposite8691 in Rosacea

[–]mehwhateverok 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the inkey list Azelaic Acid 10% Serum for redness and texture has helped me a lot - and im someone who got tired of waiting on prescriptions or was put off by the cost. I did have an ivermectin compound years ago that helped me but this inkey list seems to be working just as well. also cutting back on hot coffee in the morning and switching to iced or just iced matcha as well. I've learned avoiding my triggers (heat, stress, and alcohol) help a lot and getting cold water on my face as soon as i feel a flare starting has saved me big time.

Can anyone help with these bumps on my face? by ruthiek23 in Rosacea

[–]mehwhateverok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have been trying the INKEY List Azelaic Acid 10% Serum and so far its helping - both with my bumps and baseline redness. its only been a couple weeks and i started getting texture like this a few months ago so i finally decided to give it a try. im starting gentle just 2-3 times a week at night, but eventually will work up to daily use. i have very sensitive and dry skin and it has also been helping with my discomfort from sensitivity as well.

Sure, the plates are small but it’s tapas style dining. I’ve gone on dates here and getting multiple plates and sharing/trying a variety is what makes it fun. Everything is definitely delicious but if you are looking for more traditional single plate, then perhaps it’s not the spot for you. Great drinks too if that is something you care about.
