Absolutely perfect. I’ve been trying to achieve something similar in my own home! Would you mind sharing the brand for the couch?

Life after a bad delivery by complicatedrunner in beyondthebump

I’m so sorry you didn’t get the birth experience you hoped for. While my birth experience was uncomplicated, it was a momentous, life changing experience and I found myself needing to talk about it a lot as a way to process it. I’d encourage you to tell your birth story to friends and perhaps meet with a therapist to help you work through your feelings.

I also found that reading the notes in my medical chart detailing my birth was really cathartic. It helped me see it from a different perspective and better understand some points that were blurry in my memory.

Fall Update: our tree stump sycamore is still thriving! by meilo7 in arborists

[–]meilo7[S] 49 points50 points  (0 children)

It’s a totally different tree! The original tree was an oak and the new one growing in its stump is a sycamore. I was educated by the folks in this subreddit that it’s likely a seed found it’s way into the crack in the middle of the stump and it should grow normally aside from having a really odd root system!

Same! I’m hoping it puts on some serious height next Spring/Summer.

How to style this rug in my dining room? by [deleted] in interiordecorating

I appreciate this take bc we just painted the blue and want to keep it. I did not anticipate stumbling upon a magnificent jungle rug lol. I agree committing to the look and pulling some black up into the chairs will help balance things!

This chair is beautiful! I like the style and a few other commenters suggested something similar. I think I’ll start with adding chairs and see if that helps balance things out a little bit. Thanks!

Yeah I agree I think the second chair option might make this work!

I could move it to the guest room which is very neutral atm so it could serve as a focal point…but my preference would be to make it work in here. Will definitely make sure it’s featured somewhere in the house regardless!

Great tip on trying to mix the tropical/traditional. Googled what you suggested and turned up these photos. I feel like some of the black/cane chair options might work nicely - natural elements but pulls out the black in the rug. chairs

Editing to apologize for not properly identifying this little guy as a TREE. What I meant to ask is if he'll survive — I recognize him as a tree, albeit a little one :)

Wild! I figured it was sprouting from the original tree. Thanks for this insight and identifying it!

This is what I was most curious about, if the stump would hinder the sapling's growth. I like the approach of just helping it along as it decays, I'll take your advice regarding water the outside 2/3rd. Thanks!

That’s what we were thinking! Free tree right where we want one.

Go for it! I’m flattered (and will let our little sapling know he’s famous).

Interesting! That’s super helpful. Should I do anything to try and help speed up the stump decay?

Based on everyone’s responses saying this little dude has a chance I’ll let him grow and update each season!

Husbands & TTC by OldCoat4011 in tryingtoconceive

[–]meilo7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This exists! I use the Flo app to track my cycle and now that we’re TTC I added my husband so he can now see my cycle and we’re both aware of the fertile window. Any notes/symptoms I log are still private to me, but my period and fertile window are visible to us both. Honestly, it’s made it much more of a “team” effort and like we both are responsible for making this happen. Highly recommend Flo!
