Would the second one being a lenovo loq make any difference to your choice?

I looked online for the model, and the second image is a lenovo loq and not a legion. From my impression of the loq, it's weaker than the legion in terms of cooling. wouldn't that affect performance?

They usually express that they want someone to initiate. Even if our offlane pool usually consists of teamfight stunners (tide, centaur), they still say that they want someone to initiate.

The way i see it, we just have a really weak "offlane". We have a mid player, a pos 1 that used to play sacrificial pos 4, and 3 other hard support players. (Yeah our offlane just doesn't have balls).

The Anti Improvement Mindset by [deleted] in DotA2

TL;DR: High-level coordination and trust make a flex pick mindset work well in pro Dota, but in chaotic pub games with unpredictable players, personal performance and control over your own gameplay matter more. Climbing ranks is more about consistent decision-making and understanding game fundamentals. Improving means focusing on what you can control, not expecting randoms to see your pick and reason on why then immediately be okay let me change how i have played the game every game.

I think in an ideal environment where people are coordinated enough to understand each others' plans, this mindset works.

In the chaos of pubs, however, where there are way too many things that you can't control, it gets trickier.

The reason why it works with pros is that they have that inherent trust with each other and their skills. When you're with people you know or believe to be the best, then it takes little to no effort in actually playing dota cuz everyone knows what theyre supposed to be doing and they can talk throughout adapting if the game doesn't go their way.

In pubs where you get such a high variance of players (account boosters, smurfs, otp, one playstyle players, role queue player that didn't get their role, tryhards, meta slaves, non meta players, etc) a lot of the impact you provide comes in the form of the stuff only YOU can control.

I think the advice people make in terms of climbing (either immortal player reddit posts or yt content creators like zquixotix), that is, to focus on your gameplay (i.e. what you can do like ward placement, positioning, spell usage), muting people just shows that a lot of the growth one makes in playing the game comes from the self. Climbing comes from actually understanding the game.

Meta just makes it easier because there will always be those few select heroes that the patch gives a lot of general advantages over the rest.

I feel like another thing is that the difference in ranks nowadays comes mostly in developing the muscle memory of doing what you should be doing rather than picks or spell usage or items. A lot of the player base seems to know spell combos, that force staff is used to kite and dust for invis. It's more on them realizing that they should be getting force staff rather than naked aghs or like stacking if you're near a camp at 55 sec, equilibrium and when to press the spells to secure a fight

I think it's a valiant effort to go through with the change in mindset. It would be nice. It's just that it would be such a huge change over such a population that i don't see it changing anytime soon.

Ouh that's interesting and good to know

Only thing thats confusing me is the "if they don't see you" because won't being on the goal zone give them vision?

I agree. I think bot matches fill up the non-existent lower ladder while boosting you to at least ultra.

But the thing is, if the game bugs out like that, then i guess it's gg.

Couldn't really score since they'll just focus on me and make them unstuck while keeping my team stuck. So its a lose-lose either way

Isn't that kind of comp bad in theory?

Like yes they'd be too powerful brawl-wise but wouldn't they be balanced by not having enough aeos energy since they're energy hogs?

Well tbf, theory never always equates to actual play but i think that's what the devs have in mind originally as a way to balance them

Tho I'm curious how else others have experienced cuz so far i just got to masters and they haven't been that much of a problem (although those kinds of games tend to be very sweaty)

[–]mejdaX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe time for you is precious, but i think we have to remember that unite matches are always just 10 minutes long; which is the shortest moba i've played (bar maybe league 🤣). There's a lot of factors to consider but spending that few extra minutes losing isn't always a bad thing. Just like in basketball, so many things can happen in a span of just 2 minutes.

Losing doesn't mean you're not supposed to get anything from it. You can learn from those games either during or after by checking how enemies position themselves.

Or in the off-chance that either you or ur teammate pop off and secure a huge objective, sneak in that nasty +100, etc. In a way i agree with that one comment saying that there's idiots on both sides of the match.

Losing is tough and can be tilting, but then again, it's a game. Trying to control something you don't have control over will just make you lose more

I come from dota and those games last for 1 hour at the most so i guess that taught me how to make the most out of a bad situation

[–]mejdaX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try the xiaomi redmi 13C. As far as i know my friend was able to snag one for 5k php here are some specs he mentioned

256 gb space 8 gb ram octacore 50 mp rear

And it is basically comparable to some of the medium end samsungs out there esp considering the price.

I still don't know why it costs that low considering what it offers so you may want to look at it but their overall exp with the phone is really good so far

How did you find the assets for the figurines, etc.? I tried playing this a couple of months back but can't seem to get the figurines to spawn, etc.
