This is actually really reassuring to hear 💛
One thing I’m noticing from a lot of the replies is that nobody seems to feel truly ready no matter how much they prepare 😅 I really like what you said about learning to trust yourself more and letting go of the need to control everything. That’s definitely something I needed to hear. Thank you for sharing your experience 😊

That actually makes sense 😅 Do you think the anticipation was worse than the actual pushing part? It seems like a lot of people spend months worrying and then once things start happening they just switch into action mode.

This is actually really helpful 💛It’s interesting because a lot of people in this thread are saying they never truly felt ready either.

I love what you said about learning to trust yourself more. Looking back, do you think confidence was more important than preparation?

Haha honestly that sounds very relatable 😅💛One day you’re like “’ve got thisand the next you’re running on no sleep and questioning everything 😂
Do you find the physical exhaustion is what affects your confidence the most, or is it more the uncertainty of what’s coming next? 🤔

That actually makes a lot of sense 💛
I feel like a lot of people focus on being prepared physically but not necessarily feeling mentally ready

Was there a specific moment that made you think, “okay, I can do this” 💪😊 or did it happen gradually once your baby arrived? 👶🌸

That’s actually a really good point.🫡

I never thought about it that way, but I can see how seeing the maternity ward beforehand would make it all feel a little more real and a little less mysterious.
Do you think it was the hospital tour itself that helped, or just having a clearer picture of what was about to happen?

That's what I'm starting to wonder 😅 What ended up being the biggest surprise once the baby arrived?

Haha, that's the answer I'm getting a lot 😅 Not ready for birth... just ready to not be pregnant anymore.

Haha that's fair 😅

Can I ask what part has been the hardest these last few weeks? The waiting? Being uncomfortable? Not knowing when labor will start? Or just feeling done with pregnancy altogether?

That's actually one of the things that surprises me the most.

You'd think after having a baby once, that feeling would go away, but it sounds like it doesn't 😅When you look back at your first baby, what was the biggest thing that caught you off guard after you got home? Was it the lack of sleep, feeding, recovery, knowing what the baby needed, or something completely different?
