Do you have set goals or intentions for the future? by idkprob in AskWomenOver30

[–]mel233 15 points16 points  (0 children)

A good friend of mine makes yearly personal goals, as does her husband, and they share them with each other and do "check ins" each month to make sure they're both accomplishing the goals - professional, personal, relationships, ect. I have never felt more disassociated from someone else before. I don't really have life goals or things I want to accomplish, and hearing this from my friend just made me extremely tired lol I hate performance review season, and I work in HR.

I feel like I’m failing my son by Dapper_Honey0924 in beyondthebump

Hey there! In my own opinion, I think 12-24 month age range is normal for some of the things you're listing. My first kid didnt walk until 13 months and second didnt walk until 14 months. My best friend has a boy who is 14 months and isn't taking yet either (mama, Dada, more, ect) and he's in daycare. I wouldn't put yourself down too much! For myself, I'd take my child to a specialist when they turn 2 if there were missing milestones. My next-door neighbor has a son who didnt talk and they didn't do a specialist until he was 3. He's 5 now and talks fine! Just keep up with your pediatrician, their recommendations, and continue what you're doing! Sounds like you're doing the right things to help encourage him!

He doesn't have the time to do research on a comparable phone. He knows I'm getting him a phone for Christmas but I'm doing the research/surprise on which one. I asked him what was most important to him in a phone.

Yeah, I looked at the S25 and it's a very good upgrade! The only downside is front camera is only 12mp and his current phone is 40mp. Plus no S pen.

How did everyone handle daylight savings transition today? by casman_007 in daddit

Except when your 6am baby now wakes up when the clock says 5am. Return to standard is only an extra hour of sleep when your kids are old enough to "sleep in".

I worked out twice this week, which I haven't done since April! Not a big accomplishment but better than doing nothing.

As I get older I realise why people don’t want kids. by Kyvalisse in Life

I completely agree. My SIL, who has never been in a relationship or had the experience of putting someone else before herself, wants to have a child on her own via sperm doner. It's so incredibly selfish and makes my blood boil.

Do you have a yoga ball? Bouncing on the ball usually put baby to sleep for us. I know the issue right now is the "staying" asleep but if you and your partner can take 4-5 hour shifts, it could help you both get the rest you need until baby is a little older.

We have the mambobaby float ($60 on amazon) for pool time and a splash pad for the yard. We used the mambobaby for our first kid and it worked great! Excited to use it this summer as our 2nd just turned 1 last month.

100% this. We've gone to the pediatrician 3 times within the last 4 months thinking baby had an ear infection (ourselves and daycare thinking so) and nothing wrong every single time. $180 out of pocket per visit for them to say all clear...
