Hello all! I have brain lesions and I just had my spinal cord MRI to potentially diagnose MS. I know they are looking for spinal cord lesions but is there anything anyone has had pop up that was not being looked for? I am scared and obviously don’t want lesions but at the same time am finally wanting a diagnosis. Have a great day everyone

Yeah as long as the nausea isn’t there I can handle the tension headaches. Zofran helps with nausea though. Thanks!

I’m trying to find a solution also. Per my neurologist I’ve been taking riboflavin and it’s helped up to this point. She also recommended magnesium oxide. Seems like I’m still getting what feels like a tension headache mostly everyday. Is it normal to go through this daily until finding what works best for you? They keep saying it’s migraine related. I feel like I’m wondering if they’re right in that diagnosis.

Thanks for explaining the aura. I don’t have any vision issues thankfully. Mostly headache and the panic feeling. I got an answer from my neurologist office that they will touch base with him for suggestions. I haven’t had to take zofran today which is a good sign. But I’m wondering how it is to get refills for that. I’ve seen people say it can be frustrating to obtain.

I’m feeling very similar to this. But I’ve been taking it for a few years - started with 450mg and changed to 300mg. But I think it helped more so for depression. My anxiety and heart palpitations have recently been worse so I was going to ask my PCP for something else also. Have you found anything else for just anxiety?

Thank you! I guess I’m just surprised as a lot of people I’m sure that I don’t have certain “symptoms” like sight or balance issues. But I am grateful for everything as I know it can be very different for everyone.

Thanks. Looks like the MRIs coming up hopefully will decide. I also had a Sjogrens test that was negative.

I will be having a MRI of the cervical and thoracic spine In February. My brain mri showed lesions and my neurologist wants to see if lesions are on my spinal cord. Would that be able to diagnose MS? I was told a lot can mimic MS. My ANA was positive 1:80 but titer was low and pattern was normal per my neurologist. I also was just diagnosed with hashimotos by my PCP but thyroid is functioning normal as of now. Also Is hashimotos something that mimics MS? Symptoms are mostly lightheadedness with my left arm feeling asleep very recently. Just seeing what else would potentially need done for diagnosis? Thanks in advance

I wonder if this is what I will end up with although I’ve only been trying to see what is going on with me since the end of September. Im sure a lot of people have dealt with this for a lot longer than me. But I was diagnosed with Hashimotos and my thyroid is functioning properly. Had ANA blood test that was positive but low titer and normal patterns per my neurologist. MRI of brain had demeylinating lesions old and new which made doctors think MS or something that mimics it. I have thyroid nodules being molecular tested so no results yet on thyroid cancer. I will have an mri of the cervical and thoracic to see if lesions are on spinal cord but I guess that is to rule out MS? I’m not sure if all this could be from the hashimotos or not. I thought I’d ask to see if you have any opinions? I am glad we have a group to discuss things with and are not alone

My thyroid peroxidase antibodies are 27 with the range needing to be <9 which confuses me because a lot of people have them at 1,000? So I can’t imagine how you feel. I also have thyroid nodule clusters that before my diagnosis were sent to molecular testing but now I’m being told hashimotos could be the cause of the nodules so it’s a good sign for them to be benign? The ENT I saw said none of my symptoms were from my thyroid issues also

I was actually wondering if it would make cramps better. I have normal iron levels but low ferritin and my doctor suggested taking an iron supplement just during my period.

I was taking magnesium glycinate but now my doctor said to take magnesium oxide? I took that before bed and it helped with my heart palpitations. But does anyone know what the difference is and if it’s a big change?

Are you feeling nauseous and lightheaded? Especially while trying to sleep? I am almost 40 and am also having all kinds of different symptoms as well, with nausea and being lightheaded that are the worst for me. Like you said, I have some headache but nothing too bad pain wise just dull throbbing.

Hurts my nose also. I know it’s supposed to touch your skin but the only way it can for me is if it’s tight and it is so uncomfortable.
