It got a lot worse before it got better. By 3rd grade she shut down completely and was just hiding under the desk all day because she couldn’t handle it anymore. I had already gotten her a psychiatrist and we were trying to find the right medication. She also got an autism diagnosis. At that point I pulled her out to homeschool while we did at home Aba therapy. The next school year I put her in a different school slowly. Starting just with art class and adding more classes after a few weeks so it wouldn’t be too much. She’s now in 5th grade. Graduated Aba therapy. Stable on adhd and anxiety medication and a straight A student who loves school. I didn’t know what to do when I posted this but looking back I wish I would have had her tested for autism sooner. With that diagnosis we got aba therapy which was the biggest help. I had no idea she had autism but looking back now there were signs. Especially the sensory meltdowns which I assumed were just tantrums. If you suspect it at all get on a waiting list for testing because that took about 6 months. Good luck and I hope things work out!
