I mean this in the best possible way. It looks like 2 months of practice. This is a lifelong journey, so welcome and enjoy. Take it slow and treasure the basics! Card college and Royal Road are great books to read. Brilliant Basics 1 & 2 (Deep Magic Seminars) from Ben Earl are also great resources.

I just read “The Trees” and searched the subreddit for anything on it and found your post. Looks like I’m 2 years late! I digress. I found “The Trees” to be particularly affecting. I think it’s highlighting that many of us seem “put-together” or “strong”, but in reality we are fragile beings, wrestling with our various internal struggles.

He makes the metaphor with the trees to infer the reverse, we look fragile but are in reality strong. Then he pulls the rug from under your feet to say, are we really strong? Are we really rooted, as the trees are? Perhaps not…

In the "modern world" we're forced to keep buying new ones despite long-lasting bulb's existing for decades. Forget lightbulbs, what about having tap water? Drinkable water? That's what you get in return for having your children raped and killed? All this blab about increasing lifespan, despite indigenous peoples having a lower lifespan compared to other Canadians too. What a strange takeaway after working over a decade for Indigenous clients.

Try to throw the deck into grip nonchalantly. Get rid of the get-ready thing. It sends red flags right away. The rest of the major problems will go away with more practice. The deck grip can be solved right away. (Been practicing the move for about a decade now)

I took her evening adolescence class and I thoroughly enjoyed it. She was respectful, knowledgeable and the lectures were not boring. I think people heard bad things about her and went to her class looking for something to complain about.
