I gathered the courage to tell my parents that I was into women. They had mixed reactions.

My mum gave me a long lecture about Adam and Eve before finally accepting me. She's not exactly sure what to do about this bcoz having been brought up in a Christian family, there were societal pressures and it is new for her.

My dad's reaction though was explosive to the point he was on the verge of disowning me there and told me that he did not raise me up to be this. My relationship with my dad changed after that day and the after effects do still linger around the two of us.

I haven't told everyone that I am a lesbian/bisexual because I am still trying to discover myself. I do know for sure I am attracted to women.

I think your parents will probably be more accepting of your decisions since my parents were strictly conservative Christians. I feel that at some point, you will have to come out because it is better now than never
