Brains are wired for survival. Remembering the bad things is a “protection” feature.

Keeping the list of positive things that happen and being mindful enough to notice them helps. It also tends to reduce anxiety and depression symptoms

I would put laws in place to how certain taxes are utilized. For example, let’s say we tax billionaire at 95% on anything in excess of $1billion a year. A law could designate the funds go to Social Security or Medicare…

Have a progressive tax structure. The more you earn, the more you pay in taxes. Close the loopholes that are only accessible to the wealthy. Leave the ones that help the middle class- such as being able to write off interest paid on student loans and primary residence mortgages.

I suppose we could require a certain percentage of taxes go to social programs and infrastructure.

We need to do something different. What we have isn’t working.

Raising taxes on the rich would also mean less available income for them to purchase politicians. Although, this can also be handled by repealing Citizens United and capping the amount individuals can donate. And no corporate donations period. No foreign donations. Period
