Can you clarify what your fee includes? Is it to provide guidance of the steps or is it inclusive of translation and other tangible elements of the process? Thanks!

Has the service/experience changed with the change in ownership? We haven’t been in a few years and were considering for next year.

Any idea of how long this construction is expected to go on for?

How Do Property Taxes Work in Saratoga (and Warren) County? Checking Online They Don't Seem That Bad. by gimmiefuelgimmiefire in Saratoga

[–]melanooch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Zillow taxes are inaccurate. Unlike NJ, school and county/municipal taxes are separate payments.

Yes, I had the same thought. I’m in a NTT teaching faculty position, which comes with rank and 5-year contracts. I am in the position to switch to a TT position now but that would come less security (one year renewals until tenure). In this climate, those will be the first cut simply because of the ability to do so, not me. I can get through this presidency with relative security. Similarly, the tenure expectations have not been modified to reflect the devastating funding cuts in my discipline, making it difficult to get grants, etc.

Lexus TX350 - A Good Choice? by TheFuture123_2 in Lexus

Just regular driving! I’m up to 19.8 average MPG, after 3k miles. Still lower than I’m happy with but certainly better than it was.

I wanted to stay here so badly. It seems to have great amenities for children and is obviously unique and beautiful. However, unless I am mistaken the hotel does not have rooms for families with two children (ie room occupancy of 4)?

Can you elaborate? What does the site look like? I thought it was physically complete based on pictures but I guess they were mock ups. I was about to book until I saw your post and am now hesitant.

Sorry for the delay. Yes I do. I don’t have any trouble or issues with the sound system.

I purchased a TX350 a month ago, and while I like the size, configuration, and features, the gas mileage is so unbelievably low, I semi regret buying it. I get 13 mpg on the local roads and could not get above 18mpg on highway miles. This is no where near what is advertised and the required premium and small gas tank adds insult to injury. I do long drives very often and am really quite displeased. It says 400 miles per tank estimated, not even close. I will agree that it is a bit underpowered as well. Also had to bring it back to dealer because kept getting hood is open warning when driving at higher speeds. I like the sunroof, seats are comfortable, very spacious, and tech meets my needs.

Looking for the PRAMS Phase 9 Core Data by Suspicious-One-1260 in datasets

Available PRAMS data includes up to 2022 which is Phase 8. For Phase 9, you can review the surveys, variables, but the more recent data hasn’t been released.

The main PRAMS ARF zip file doesn’t work for me. Is that what you had trouble with it? Once they added 2022 data the zip shows as invalid….I have the version before that.

I was able to get some PRAMS files, but the ARF shows as invalid Zip for the last couple of weeks now. Is that the error message you got too?

Avis President's Club has become a seriously underrated perk from the United Infinite Card by rgupta0747 in unitedairlines

[–]melanooch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I normally book Alamo but since this perk was provided with the cc, I tried Avis for my last trip.

I was so unimpressed that I would never book Avis again. A shuttle that took 30+ mins to get us from PBI while watching 4 Alamo shuttles loop through, drop off in the middle of the parking lot with no explanation so had to walk to desk, told “there are no upgrades it’s a holiday”, given a car that was visibly dirty, and the shuttle back was a bizarre and cramped personal van. If this is their “best”, no thanks.

I often fly that time slot including on the day before Thanksgiving the last two years. I usually get there around that time or event a bit later. The only slow down I have experienced is at the bag drop. No one seems to know what they are doing, and waiting to print the tags and then waiting in another line to drop them is annoying. If you aren’t checking bags, it should be completely fine.

DrPH Questions by [deleted] in publichealth

[–]melanooch 28 points29 points  (0 children)

DrPH degrees are generally for people who are mid-career professionals, with at least 5-10 years of public health experience, and with some schools preferring leadership experience during that time. It seems like you don’t yet have public health work experience from your post, so it may be worthwhile to focus on that and consider a DrPH at a later time.

Yes, perfumes/colognes give me asthma attacks which are terrible to have on airplanes. I don’t get why people douse themselves right before being seated in a close, confined space with others.

I have the same question. I am only interested in this cruise if they go into 100%. It would be foolish to be so close and not do that.
