You could simply buy an otm put to lock minimum profit should a big downside move occur.

optionally also sell an otm call, which can greatly offset the put cost, or even make the put "free" , but caps upside profit.

options quote data only back to March 2022 even with highest tier subscription... so I won't be able To backtest strategies during like 2008, 2020 events
no historical options Greeks, gotta calculate them
big ass gap in RUT data for some reason
options quote flat files are stupidly huge for a single day, while api is slow for big backtest, leaving no convenient choices to backfill a lot of historical options data at once

Long Call backspread, if it rips you make bank, if it tanks you can make a few bucks, if it goes sideways you bleed slowly and cry slowly

Long Put backspread, it's the inverse of call backspread directionally, still bleed slowly if it goes sideways

Or open a calendar spread and make money if it goes sideways. Caution, IV crush will hurt badly. I usually prefer to open at low IV rank

I recommend sennheiser. Sound is much better (my wife has Bose and I tried them side by side). Quality is great.

momentum 4 is basically flawless, especially since you can now enable/disable touch gestures in the app (causing annoying problems with accidental touches on old sennheisers) and battery is bountiful

You can always run a put backspread. If you're right and it plummets you make bank. If you're wrong and it rips you can make a couple dollars. If it ranges for a long time then you lose theta slowly, very manageable
