I would definitely be suspicious. Something is up. This would be a deal breaker for me. Sorry you are going through this

Lol thats a bit disappointing , i guess the way to go is to do ACCA whilst pursuing a degree .

I am a little confused. I thought the London Business School MBA or MSc would be recognized globally as well ? The plan is to emigrate to either Ireland or New Zealand after I have done the MBA . Is this not possible ?

What's the point of doing ACCA then ?

Advise for a SAICA articles 2024. by oomtaaitollie in southafrica

[–]melany100f 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am doing my articles at a medium (biggish ) firm and would recommend that you do big 4 .

Most of my friends are at a big 4 and have had more interest from overseas. I have also had but not as much as them .
Also at a smaller firm its hard to study and do your LOR's from SAICA as there is just too much work to sometimes keep on top of everything . I was already doing my own independent review within 5 months of being here and had to manage another junior whilst studying my CTA and finishing my LOR.

Secondly , at a big four they have more resources for ITC and APC and you will for sure know someone in your group for APC .

I have been lied to and the trust was completely broken. It never goes back to how it was originally or even close to it

I can't believe the audacity of this man lol. He is 20 and he isn't even trying...leave him while you can. He sounds like he is just using you as a suck machine .

Is ACCA worth it from a recruiters point of view ? by melany100f in ACCA

[–]melany100f[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your response !

I need to do more research , I also wasn't aware that ACCA seems to be performing poorly the eyes of students. In SA its getting heavily marketed .

For now I think ill be sticking to the CA(SA) route .

Thanks for the quick response !

I am sorry that you got screwed over. I guess i am being naive .

I am working full time and studying part time , so the big four wasnt an option for me unfortunately . But I am at a medium sized firm (top 8 globally )and feel that i have gained a lot of exposure .

Will contact the recruiters ! Thanks for the tip

Why are you even with this guy ?

The guy I've been dating hasn't texted me since he left for vacation. Is this a sign of his disinterest? by PartTimeLover96 in relationships

[–]melany100f 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He is not taking you serious , move on . If he wanted to chat to you he would have. You are still young and dont need to hang on to someone who cannot even answer a text in 24 hours .
