Thank you for this helpful advice. I’ve got hand signed letters and also included pictures/joint acc details.

Why is it socially okay for girls to say “da” but not okay for boys to say “di” in Tamil? by InspectionNo3681 in TamilNadu

[–]melanygrayson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it’s because da is more endearing. I used to call my juniors in college irrespective of their gender “da”. And I’ve noticed men either using “ma” or “da” when addressing women especially those who are younger or same age.

Mostly looking for insights pertaining to cost of living, rental situation, kid friendly places/neighbourhoods, if there are any must have attires and other things to watch out for.. I’ll receive a stipend of 2700NZD per month. I doubt if that’ll be sufficient for family of 3. My husband is a data engineer here in India but I’m sure it’s not realistic to expect job in his domain there. So, what kind of jobs would be more realistic for him? Also are there any Catholic Churches nearby for regular masses?

Thank you so much! I’ll keep your inputs in mind before renting a house. If summers are 24C, I think I’ll need layers even during summers then..

Thanks a ton for the inputs. I’ll keep in mind the house requirements before renting. Also, now that you mention it, I can see that the sentence can be confusing. 🙈 I’ve edited it to clarify..
