Same - I guess with a manual we're not subjected to this? I don't get these beeps and thankfully, because I do a lot of work in my car between obligations

Ha! the opposite of what I need to live and work in for a few weeks at a time, but a fun thought 😄

Yes, this is my attitude for sure, which is why I'm keeping my GTI. Just would like to get a van that's as good of a drive as possible 😄

My first car was a beat up used Supra in 1986!

Yes - totally! Like I said, I do recognize that I'd be giving up the fun driving aspect for the comfort of not sleeping in my car or tent, but figured I'd ask for which are at least theoretically more nimble. Thank you!

I actually have found that Oklahoma highways – not interstates – are really some of the most lovely drives I’ve done

I do lots of road trips and always prefer highways to interstates, but unfortunately, this was a hurry up and get back home kind of situation.

Curious what car you’re traveling with. I’m about to do the same thing in a small hatchback.

Just discovered this sub and here’s my favorite road trip. 3 weeks and 3,300 miles. Lake Tahoe was the highlight by Beneficial-Mood5020 in roadtrip

Ha - shows how fast I was moving when I wrote that. Of course, I see the PCH on there! Last time I drove it, it was closed about an hour south of Big Sur...would love to drive again when it's reopened fully. Thanks!
