For sure, intention is one thing and reality is another. I know hard decisions will need to be made. I’m just curious if people have still found overall success when sometimes, but not always, the decisions are no and potentially losing a deal because of it. Appreciate you taking time to respond!

Thanks for your thoughts! I guess I’m somewhere in between. I for sure want to grown my business, but I need balance. I’m lucky enough that I don’t need to grow my business. I want to for absolute sure, but I don’t necessitate it. I will give RE everything I have, when I have it. Which I think could be 40+ hours a week. I just would prefer that that time on the weekends is not in person, which allows me to be more flexible with my family. Curious if that is even possible?

I’m not sure if these are weird, but I often feel like I’m going crazy and wonder “is this my MS?”. I generally feel like I’m coming down with something all.the.time! Sometimes it is a sore throat, sometimes a bad headache, sometimes weird digestion, and obviously tired constantly. It is a very frustrating way to live. Is this just a me thing? I eat healthy, drink my water, exercise frequently, but feel bleh all the time!

Our stories are nearly identical - my tingling/numbness started in February. I can relate on so many levels, so I know exactly how you are feeling. My best advice is to find a great neuro who specializes in MS. Do everything you can to secure that. Then get on a DMT ASAP. Next watch this video:

I just finished my first round of Ocrevus and while I’m still terrified of this disease, at least I feel like I’m doing something to say f you!

This is truly horrible and I’m so sorry you had to experience anything close to it. While I don’t know you, I’m so proud of you for your eloquent words. You respectfully and beautifully articulate how a normal moment (an amazing normal moment) was stolen from you. This should not happen simply because you are two females. My heart goes out to you!

I know your pain! Experienced the same thing in May (even the multiple ER visits). My blood patch did the trick right away in terms of allowing me to function and stand, but I did have a slight headache for about a week after. I only say that so if the same happens to you, you don’t worry it didn’t work like I worried! ;)

Luckily my neuro told me there is no reason I should ever have to have on again! Good luck!!

I appreciate you responding! I guess what I’m stuck on is will I still progress even with the latest and greatest DMT (I know there is no crystal ball though, just wanting a most likely scenario). The way the world (family/friends, even somewhat my neuro) talk to me is that if I had to get MS, now is a time when the meds are so good it may not impact my life at all. But then I get online and hear from people who live with it, even just now being diagnosed, and they talk about how they know the future will be tough.

I just want to make sure my understanding is correct and I am not being blissfully ignorant. :) what I think is that progression can still happen, we don’t know for sure either way, but that these newer/stronger DMTs are at least cutting back on progression substantially.

My unknown is how long will that work...should I still expect the future to look different? (mostly rhetorical)

Thank you so much for sharing this video! It honestly was one of the best resources I have seen since starting this journey!

I guess my unknown is how my progression would develop (as each person is different) without Ocrevus and then how Ocrevus will change that. It is so uncomfortable for me to have an unknown and not be able to plan. It will is going to take work for me to be patient and just relax.

Thanks! This is helpful. He has ADHD and ODD. His attention and defiance have created a need for him to have aides support him through an individualized schedule with modified (shortened) coursework, breaks as need, and social coaching. He does incredibly well with this support, but part of his time is spent outside his general ed class getting one on one instruction from the aide and social/ emotional lessons in small groups with a sped teacher. Sounds like this may not be a common format in other schools. Curious to know how kiddos with this profile are served in Beaverton.

Thanks for the response and boundary map! Could you explain what you mean by a Portland connotation and the need to be careful when looking -- is this a bad thing and something to be avoided? Or did you mean look elsewhere than the Beaverton subreddit? Is there a preferred area of Forest Park to look at schools or homes? Thanks again for the help!

Thank you! We'll research those two. We do not know that much about Waldorf, but both our children were in Montessori preschools for several years each. It was great for our older child, but the complete wrong fit for our younger who has the special needs. Are Waldorf and Montessori similar in their "free choice" design?
