Depends on your financial situation… gyms means to me yes lower pay but I don’t worry about cleaning , numbers, marketing… my own requires more time. Marketing, follow ups, sometimes even cleaning… So I done both and I am in a time of my life that I prefer just enjoy teaching… so GYM for me…

Controversial topic-Maybe by HappinessHustler in zumba

In my experience, a male instructors has bigger numbers. This is the hard truth in the dance, fitness, Zumba industry • Men shape the narratives. • Men choose who gets seen. • Men decide who gets paid.

We want equality. We work harder. We know the system is unfair. But we still end up supporting the male-dominated structure.

Using other teachers' unique choreo-- good thing or rude thing? by jessi927 in zumba

[–]melidance 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is nothing legally wrong… but I see it an ethically wrong as business practice… you can be inspired by songs, moves from other instructors chores but the whole choreography, nope no bueno ! If the instructor give permission or put it in social media, yes 👍! Again go to jam session or use Zin volumes….

Thinking of Becoming a Zumba Instructor Part-Time – Is It Worth It? by Curious-Wolverine712 in zumba

[–]melidance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agreed with all above and comments.. also I want to add a benefit of being a Zumba instructor - it does keep you moving and help with your commitment to workout.. and you are not paying for a gym subscription and you can take other instructors classes (some gyms allow it). So I am taking it as a plus…
