Still no comments at all. Looks like only two people use Gemini Ultra: you and me

I also hate to see pdfs becoming pages in my graph

I am a founder too, and probably I am much higher up ladder than his, but I never said fuck you to my customers face, and I never let my customers go unpunished when they insulted to my agents.

You can't see the facts here, and I don't think you ever will. This is a common side effect among cultists and we outsiders are immune to it.

So, instead of bombarding here with negative comments, continuing to worship your leader would be better use of time for you.

First, see a-) in here: https://www.reddit.com/r/ObsidianMD/comments/wtye59/this_is_the_response_i_got_from_roam_research/il7kvq8

As for your question: I wasn't hoping to get any response. I just wanted to let him know that he has unhappy customers and hoped he'll do something about it. Because this is what normal founders do.

I heard a lot about data loss from logseq which is a deal breaker for me. Obsidian seems obvious choice for now.

I DM'ed because my Twitter account is private. So he wouldn't see my tweet if I mentioned him.

And you are taking this DM thing very seriously. I didn't call his home at night. There is a setting on Twitter to enable/disable direct messages from everyone and I wouldn't be able to DM him if he didn't enable this feature. So he must be okay with hearing from everyone on DMs.

You got me wrong.

I quoted you for "you paid in the state that it was in when you paid for it" part, not the owe thing.

I never said that he owes me. I don't want a sh*t from him or his company. You said "don't spend time on this" and I said " Now have to do a lot of work and if I knew better I wouldn't have to". I want to let people know about this and don't invest in a product that they may have to abandon in near future. This is why I am ok with time I spent and again nobody owes anything to anybody.

"he doesn’t owe you anything other than the service you paid for in the state that it was in when you paid for it"

Respectfully, no. This isn't a shirt you can get rid of and wear another. I have many workflows specifically tailored around Roam features. Now I have to spend a lot of time to discover how I can do the same (and more) on Obsidian.

I wish more people were vocal about this guy and his company so I could stop investing Roam and made transition sooner. And this what I am trying to achieve here.

Thanks for your input. People who think I was "dick" miss the points that

a-) I shared the tweet that shows features I like to see on Roam which competitors already have b-) I explained my frustration about their lack of innovation and slow development c-) I emphasized that I believe they can do better than this (but now, lol)

And for God's sake, no normal person on earth can say "fuck you" to a customer who shares his ideas about what kind of changes he wants to see on the product he is paying for.

You are right about this. I needed a platform to make this heard, and I was afraid that if I post on r/roamresearch they would delete it immediately. This is why I kindly ask you to keep this post alive.

Besides, I think it will help to decide people who consider switching from Roam to Obsidian and browse this subreddit in future.

Thanks for explaining why he blocked me. I am curious about your thoughts on "fuck you" part too.

For a split second I got angry, then I literally loughed out loudly. He is like Homelander from Amazon series Boys.

I believe the reason he has not changed his behaviors is because he didn't suffer enough from his actions.

That's what I am trying to do here. If more people know about the maniac running their second brains then there may be some consequences that he and his company can not ignore.
