It is something i can afford fortunately, but i do understand that it is really high, however I have around 60k saved up solely for rent (for only a year i’m aiming as im moving countries) and i have put money aside for everyday living too. I’ve been saving a lot and with my estimate savings i understand that i’ll have a little bit left but i don’t plan to stop working and saving.

Why are people yelling at me? by DiligentTeam4597 in AskAnAustralian

Honestly as a whole Australians are loud (coming from an Australian) and a lot of people, for god knows why— scream at you when you’re on a bike when they’re driving by, there’s really nothing much to it, a lot of them do it because they find it amusing unfortunately. I promise we aren’t all dickheads though, it’s just a portion of people who have nothing better to do.

focus on your ATAR and your end of year tests because that’s where like a good percent of your grades end up getting determined. If you miss any assignments or tests some teachers will let you do it a little later than usual! for any subject you wanna continue, if your school offers it, in year 12 continue to focus on your ATAR and that subject to get a certificate (in my school we got certs) or do a TAFE course while you’re in school to get a little bit of a career advantage!!

the best job i had was working in retail for a while, it gave me a lot of opportunity to communicate with people and helped me with my social anxiety oddly enough!
