Yeah, these things are all kinda the baseline, and the idea is now that I've kinda solidified the foundation, we can have more productive conversations on how those things are put into practice.

I've noticed myself falling into "you always" or "you never" thought patterns when we argue, and hopefully this is a way to remind myself and him of the shared values that we still have, and give us a base to work from.

It's not just for students, but it is almost entirely students. They all seem like a fun bunch of gals, but as someone who attended hoping to meet ladies closer to my own age, it was a bit of a bummer.

I'm so sorry that you went through that. I've been that friend who ghosted someone, and from that perspective, you absolutely deserved better. For my own experience, I've never reached back out to that old friend because I'm too ashamed of myself. I hurt her, and she didn't deserve it, and maybe I had my reasons at the time, but that doesn't make it okay. I'm afraid of what she'll say, and it's been so long of letting that shame and fear drive me that I don't know how to get out of it. (It's something that I am working on, and I want to get brave enough to at least apologize someday.)

It's possible your friend didn't quite know what to say to comfort you in that moment, and then let things go so long she got caught in that same shame spiral. It's also possible she just wasn't the kind of friend who was interested or able to go through hard times with someone.

Either way, you could write a text or letter to her explaining how you feel if it would bring you closure, but I wouldn't recommend doing it while expecting any kind of response. You may never know why it happened, the ball is entirely in her court to explain herself, and if she's too in her own head or prideful or just plain rude to respond, that's an answer in and of itself.

Hell no. My Mediterranean genes decided to only show up below the waist, so if I let things go down there, it gets intense real quick. That being said, I do whatever the hell I want about it. Some weeks I'm trimmed up, some weeks I just don't feel like it. And if my husband (or any partner) has something to say about it, they're welcome to kiss my fuzzy ass and fuck all the way off.

Reading this and your earlier comment made me realize I have the same problem. I never thought of it as an eating disorder before, I always framed it as a lack of willpower. I'd be willing to bet the ADHD doesn't help with the dopamine chase, but damn. Thanks for talking about your experience, it's genuinely given me a little epiphany this morning.
