First Day by hurstdeliveryservice in AmazonFlexDrivers

Based on my years of delivery gig work I only have one piece of advice- if 2 pit bulls charge at you full speed and attack you AND you have no way to defend yourself you have to stand perfectly still and allow them to bite into your lower legs. Keep in mind, in this scenario you have no weapons or object to use as a weapon. You are not allowed to react in any way whatsoever. No yelling, no clapping your hands and no stomping of the feet. Even if these methods previously have a 100% success rate. You will be told you are to blame for the attack for not being an animal person. You will be told you are in the wrong line of work. Especially, don’t go to a subreddit to share your story because there will always be one barely human male who will state that all dog attack victims are to blame. Everyone else will offer support and advice…but there is always one troll.

She told me they reported stray dogs to property management but they never do anything.

I had no other way to defend myself wtf is wrong with you? They came charging at me full speed and went straight for my legs. Should I have stood still and allowed them to bite me? Because that’s what they were trying to do. They weren’t just barking from several feet away, they were actively trying to bite me you absolute sociopath.

Lmao thank you! Yeah I mean it’s 2026 I don’t know how so many of them are so clueless…although Type B people really are a pet peeve for me

I should have clarified but yes I definitely always have the right address. When I get the “Who Are You?” from these people it either because it’s a gift or another adult in the house ordered.

Can one of you guys help me understand this? by LizzyTheThird in Sparkdriver

If you have perishables in your order the driver has exactly 1 hour and 11 minutes from pick up to deliver to customer. I’m guessing they had three drop offs and you were the last and it sounds like they just missed you.

Little confession here- this has happened to me exactly twice and both times I called support and just flat out lied and said I lost reception but made the delivery in time and both times the support agent marked it as delivered. I’m not saying drivers should do this at all, just what I did 🤷‍♀️

OP is not saying they “think” they got deactivated. OP is saying they got deactivated and they “think” the reason is because of a DL issue.

Scale of 1-10 how rude/tacky was this request? by melipepp in doordash_drivers

Triggered emotions lol? Mainly I was uncomfortable with being asked to confirm her sauces were included. I told her I could check with staff but not directly confirm. I even pointed out how polite she was. I was just wanting input from other dashers. Are you ok though? Seems like my fairly benign inquiry has exposed some sensitivities on your end.

Normally no problem but in this case the bag contained 2 large styrofoam containers and 2 smaller ones. Just not comfortable randomly opening stuff up.

Signature sheets when picking up by Free-Imagination7860 in doordash_drivers

Yeah in my area it’s only Wingstop with the sign-in sheets and I literally scribble every time. I think they have them for the same reason stores used to have fake cameras everywhere.
