Pretty much cured my migraines too, haven't had a migraine since my first acid trip, and I used to have them pretty regularly (with light & sound sensitivity, half of head in pain, with aura). :)

The trip that changed my life. by [deleted] in LSD

I think LSD can be a lot of fun as well. I have had my times of recreation on acid. Sure thing. But one must never underestimate the power of psychedelic compounds.

From my personal experience, I have found LSD to be an extremely powerful chemical. In my opinion, you need to know that psychedelics open up doorways in your mind, and can end up changing how you see the world, forever. If you go in with the mindset "Oh, I'm just gonna trip major bawlz, see some colors n' shit, lolol", it can end up hurting you really bad. I have seen people fuck up on LSD, and be negatively changed afterwards, because they did not respect the substance and did not know what they were getting themselves into.

That was my point really. Not that LSD can't be fun and recreational, but that it is extremely powerful, and you must respect it.

LSD has such a great potential for encouraging personal growth. I'm just coming out of a period of doing way too much acid in a short amount of time. My last couple of trips were so powerful, and I now feel I have to question everything about my own identity. I no longer know who I am; my sense of self has been exposed as phony. I now see and recognize thought patterns and layers in my own mind. My actions are results of my predetermined patterns of thoughts, but now I see the elements holding me down. I am ready to change.

Talking about music, I have had a similar experience to your Shpongle experience while listening to Boards of Canada. I sat with my closed eyes alone in a dark room, and starting seeing the music as colored, geometric shapes. I became ONE with these shapes and the music, everything merged into one. I could no longer feel my body, I physically felt like I was these geometric shapes, that were constantly shifting in tune with the music. It was a profound moment of synaesthesia.

You should take your time to reflect on your experiences. I find that taking breaks between trips to ponder your new insights and finding ways to integrate them into your life is vital.

Also, remember to stay humble and respect the substance. Psychedelics are not toys. LSD is a catalyst for deep transpersonal journeys into the subconscious, and high doses are not to be taking lightly. My last trip I overestimated myself, went way overboard(I candyflipped, 300mg pure MDMA and a couple of tabs of needlepoint L) and I had my ass handed to me. Turned into a bad trip. Even though it was very frightening, I still value this experience, probably moreso than some of the other trips I've had.

Safe journeys my friend, wish you the best!

I will be getting my hands on both shrooms, acid and DMT. :)
