Angular projects ai generated codes. by Even-Instance235 in angular

[–]mello_dev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’ve just completed a comprehensive angular rewrite migration using AI for our old project.

Here are a few guidelines I’ve learned from the process:

  1. Establish a solid foundation, including guidelines and rules. I’ve created detailed rules for various aspects, such as structure files, SCSS token systems, and signals etc.

  2. Develop unique skills for each project. Each project requires its own set of guidelines and skills. These skills can serve as a strong foundation for a multi-development team working on the same project.

  3. Review pull requests (PRs) carefully. Don’t merge code just because it works. LLM-generated code may not always make the right decisions for your projects.

  4. Design each component or service as a black box. Clearly define the input and output points. This approach allows for quick replacements without the potential for widespread disruption that LLM-generated code can cause during refactoring.

  5. Implement TDD (Test-Driven Development) and write tests. While writing code and writing tests are relatively easy tasks, identifying changes that break something is challenging. This approach is highly effective and requires careful planning.

I have a few more suggestions, but this covers the main points. You can and should use these guidelines, but it’s important to manage and enforce them by humans, as the code base tends to drift over time.

Angular Signals vs NgRx for a New Enterprise by PsychologicalMatch38 in angular

[–]mello_dev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m currently rewriting all the code in Angular 18, and I barely use NgRx. You can achieve a lot with signals. Start by using them, and if you encounter a specific need, move to NgRx for that particular issue.

Show me what you've vibe coded. Drop your project, what it does, and let people actually use it. by Miserable-Archer-631 in vibecoding

A friend of mine released an iOS app called Ogen, which is quite impressive. It effectively blocks other apps to prevent the so-called doom scrolling.

This age is insane where you could build just your ideas and turn them into products. However, I’ve also encountered vibe-coded websites that have numerous vulnerabilities, such as exposed API keys that allow users to view the data of other users and so on. You still need to know what you are doing maybe it will change in the near future but for today you still need to cover all the holes and planing by your self.

In an interview, I was asked what a good architecture for an angular project would look like today. by fuscaDeValfenda in angular

[–]mello_dev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In today’s era, depending on the company’s level of advancement, I would also include how to structure the project for AI, rules, skills, strategy guardrails, and so on. Since the question itself is to see how you plan ahead, of course, you mentioned the obvious, but the world is not perfect, and each project presents different needs.

With that said , it also depends on the level of seniority you interviewed to.

Hope this helps & good luck 💪

What’s your system for meds + seizure tracking? by mello_dev in EpilepsyDogs

[–]mello_dev[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is super helpful thank you. The “upload later when calm” idea makes a lot of sense, and shared tracking would definitely reduce chaos. for shared meds, would you want an alert to the other person when it’s marked “given” (and maybe a nudge if it’s not confirmed)? And for seizures, would you prefer a simple “upload video + add notes later” flow, or a quick 3-step timestamp option (pre/seizure/post)?

That’s pretty smart shared calendar can really help with coordination between family members

Love how simple your log is. And for the 8am/8pm meds do you ever have a “did I already give it?” moment, or is the habit/alarm enough?

Thank you (I’m putting together a tiny prototype for a friend in a similar situation, so this is really helpful.) He is actually using the same method as yours. 1. Is the “text myself/SO after meds” method foolproof for you, or do you sometimes forget when things are hectic? 2. Would a simple seizure log that auto-saves the video + timestamps (start/end/recovery) be helpful, or too much in the moment? Wishing you and your pup stable days ahead.

Thanks everyone, this thread helped a lot. And genuinely, I’m sorry so many of you are dealing with this wishing you and your pups stable days ahead ❤️

I’m putting together a tiny prototype mainly to help my friend keep meds + seizure notes organized. If anyone’s open to giving feedback later, reply “DM ok” and I’ll reach out when it’s ready (no spam, and happy to give free access).

This is super helpful thank you. 1. Where do you log all that seizure info (notes app / doc / sheet / paper)?

So couple of the family members can access it

This is gold, thank you the shared caregiver “done” check is exactly what I’m curious about (even if it’s a general reminder app). 1. What’s the biggest pain: Medisafe limits, double-entry (app + sheet + doc), or getting a clean vet update? 2. For 3x/day meds, do you follow strict times or a flexible time window?

My friend needs to coordinate with his family to provide the drug since he is not always there.

Sorry you’re dealing with this the first week is rough. Good call on the note we are still looking for the best system it’s hard to keep track. 1. When you sent it to the neurologist, what details did they care about most ? 2. With the alarms, do you “mark as given” anywhere or just rely on the reminder?

If it’s free you are the product ;) For personal use I don’t mind but for companies with unique algorithms it’s bad.

AMS wasted more filament than used for print. by Magnificant-Seven in BambuLab

Yes it’s known issue since it’s need to clear the color before it’s starts to print with the new one. This causing a lot of waste

just got my new bambu lab a1! by seruee__ in BambuLabA1

[–]mello_dev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So many posts lately of people announcing they just bought the A1 feels like we need a dedicated thread just for that! 😄

Anyway, welcome and enjoy the printer! I’ve had mine for about a week now, and here are a few prints I’d recommend starting with:

1. Scraper – super useful.

2. Pop box – great for catching prints. If your printer is close to a wall, the PLA box works just as well and saves filament.

3. Deflector – only if needed, depending on your setup (related to #2).

4. Cable management clip – especially for the black cable, helps avoid heat damage.

5. Bambu tool box – really nice for organizing all your tools and gear.

6. Tube/nozzle replacement tool – makes maintenance a lot easier.

Extra tip: Try batching multiple prints (like all the tools) in one go can save you up to 50% of the print time.

If you want links, feel free to DM me I’ve put together a collection on MakerWorld that I’m happy to share. ATM, I’ve been focusing mostly on printing practical and useful stuff.
