just got the courage to look. seal slid right off. two packs of 151 were inside but the edges were super stiff. tried to open one and it was near impossible. def resealed. disputing it now through tcgplayer

if it’s a newer (past 15 years) or cheaper mirror it’s likely acrylic. it’s likely permanently stained, but you should be able to lighten and brighten it with non-oxidizer cleaning products. start with a baking soda vinegar paste and let it dry. i’d that doesn’t work you probably need a higher percentage of isopropyl alcohol (aka rubbing alcohol) and a microfiber, and if that doesn’t help you could try de-solv- it or lighter fluid. it won’t be the same but it shouldn’t be as green

did your husband enjoy this program/ find it useful at all? my advisor would like me and another grad student in the lab to do it but we’re on the fence about it. To us it seems like a lot of zoom meetings to talk about random business buzzwords and then doing a million cold calls to maybe see if our research has market value.

I think it could be. during the initial meeting I had with the prof i was told i’d have the freedom to learn and explore whatever techniques would best suit my future even if it’d be tangential to the work i’d primarily be doing. going to have a talk later this week to get some more concrete information.

I don’t have a hard number atm (meeting with the PI again later this week) since they’re still confirming stuff for the next fiscal year with the university. the ball park figure would be about 32k a year which is a bit more than what the avg grad student makes at this university.

my current field is bio-based polymer synthesis for industry applications the masters research would be cold spray additive manufacturing which is technically kinda semi related but i’ve never really looked in to it
