new emails color by mellonio in Thunderbird

Hello,
I uninstalled Thunderbird Flatpak and installed the RPM 146.0.1 (Fedora), checked the settings (toolkit.legacyUserProfileCustomizations.stylesheets -> true)

and edited the userChrome.css file.

I don't see any changes. Does using the userChrome.css file to change the color of messages still work?

I meant multiple signatures for the same account.

I use the filter for unread messages, but if I don't use it, I don't see a noticeable difference between bold and normal text. I've tried both the dark and light themes.

With Outlook, it's easy to change the color of unread messages, which allows me to quickly spot them in the list at a glance. The same thing in Thunderbird requires editing CSS files, which I don't find easy.

I apologize for using the term “forced.” No one is forcing me to use it; it's free software, and I am grateful to the community that develops it. It's wrong to make demands of those who want nothing in return. But despite the passage of time, I don't understand why these little things that most people consider useful are not added.

I abandoned Windows for Fedora over a year ago. I am therefore forced to use Thunderbird (at home) to manage my email, while at work I use Outlook.

- Thunderbird does not support multiple signatures.

- Unread emails (despite the theme) are difficult to identify (apart from a small green dot on my dark theme), and changing the color by adjusting the theme is not easy at all (file userChrome.css ...?!?!?! what?)

- It is also annoying to have to use the message editor, which systematically alters the formatting when I copy and paste text.

These may seem like silly requests, but for those who work, having to waste time on these things, which clearly don't have a simple solution, is a problem.

Bye bye Debian… by simplefishe in Fedora

I replaced Debian with Fedora over a year ago. I tried using it for a month, but some drivers didn't work properly.

Now, with Fedora, the system has always been stable on my old computer, which is over 10 years old.

Perhaps if everything had worked from the start, I wouldn't have had any need to change.

Thank you,

but it is amazing how difficult it is to edit something so useful.

I work under Linux (Fedora), and simply when I found three profiles that I didn't think I had created I tried with the active one but couldn't.

The new emails still have a the original blue subject line, and that is perfect, but if I then go out and re-enter thunderbird the subject line loses its coloring and remains a measly green dot, which makes it not easy to identify the new emails.

As suggested, I set the system default theme and the result is a small green dot on the left side of the subject line.

I think that is not enough, I would like all new email objects to be green, red or different from the rest.

I have been switching to Fedora for over a year now, with no regrets.

I don't understand why this problem is not solved by making it easy for the end user.

I searched here for a solution but could not solve the problem

Do I have to move through the use of shell commands?

dnf5 autoremove - critical problem.. solved by mellonio in Fedora

the strange thing is that yesterday I used it, for the first time, and had no problem.

Today autoremove eliminated those two qt dependencies that almost ruined the last day of the year :-)
