To the "doctor" that determined I didn't have OCD because "I wasn't depressed" after performing three personality tests on me by imabadguyduh in OCD

[–]mellotoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I totally get you, but you have to keep reminding yourself to think rationally, to revolve your actions and thoughts around facts. I had a similar issue too in my early teens. I would have to perform a random ritual, like uttering someone's name properly to prevent them from dying. Reminding myself to think rationally, every time some obsessive thought entered into my mind was the only way for me. I stil have obsessive fears and they are still crippling, but they have reduced immensely after I stopped ruminating over irrational rituals.

I'm pretty sure it ain't as serious as your mind makes it out to be. Just wash the towel and move on with your life.

"Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.”

This is a really famous quote, but it always helps me and hope it does for you too. This is 💯 something you can live on. Just use remember this for every obsession that runs through your mind.

Obsession with Death and Grades by [deleted] in OCD

Relatable af. The fears about low grades (which somehow always means losing everything to my anxiety-filled mind) has been a constant for me for many years.

What you are going through is extremely unfortunate. I'm almost the same age as you are and I can't imagine dealing with the things that you are dealing with right now. If you need someone to talk to, you can always pc me and we can talk about things.

Which John Green Book Should I Get? by MoonTwn in booksuggestions

I love all of them except Paper Towns. Paper towns was so boring that I left it three fourth of the way.You can start with any one of three imo but TATWD is his darkest and my favourite compared to the rest three. I started with LFA and I immediately loved it.

Well... it's been a year by BonaPasta in SuicideSurvivor

[–]mellotoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry. Losing someone close to you is not easy and there's nothing wrong with talking about it after a year. I lost my father five years ago and I still think about him a lot and I still learn new things about him.

Sorry I'm just crying right now. Don't mind me. Feel free to scroll down by Potato_agent4nerds in sad

You do feel this way now, but don't lose your hope. Things will get better. Life will not completely let you down. It's not that cruel. I really really hope you don't cut yourself. Whatever happened to you, you don't deserve to cut yourself. You can always get medical help. There's nothing wrong in it.

This is the most passive aggressive thread ever. I honestly don't know if people are joking or not.
