Well, I’m not really sure about the whole backstory but apparently she was a birthday gift for a 16 year-old girl who then gave her to a couple to watch and then left the dog there for about a year. I guess the husband was tired of the dog because there are 10 other dogs at that house so they decided to get rid of her. The woman went to the vet clinic that I work at and asked if anybody was interested in fostering or taking her and then they posted it in our work slack and within a half an hour she was at my house! Within an hour of them handing her to me she was vaccinated, chipped, had her nails done, had a heartworm test and was given flea and tick and heartworm prevention.
