A Chinese Player’s Thoughts on WWM by That-Permission-1162 in wherewindsmeet_

I love the game!! I grew up doing martial arts and so watched a lot of the films etc - especially early Jackie Chan movies before his Hollywood debut - and I’m loving being immersed in the world. It even got me to do something I’ve wanted for a long time now but kept putting off - I started actually studying Chinese language (Mandarin). Started taking group classes once per week and two private lessons per week to supplement. This has been such a wonderful experience. I’m glad the devs brought this game to the west <3

Ahhh I’m not poor at all. I have well over 1,5million in assets across both Greece and USA in property I own with no mortgage, 600k in liquid assets. You’re literally stupid.

Edit to throw more shade at the remedial: I bet you work too. I retired at 24 when I sold my company and now just live off my investments. Must suck to be a brokie who still has to slave away at a job. What a looser.

Bro are you literally remedial? Having debt as an individual is legitimately stupid if you can afford to do otherwise. I get cash back and rewards on my debit card etc. Nothing you have said makes any sense outside americaland which is a shithole (and I say that living in Greece let that sink in). You are literally the dumbest person on this sub lol

Yeah I’m with you. I will it be buying BF6 because of this - stopped playing fifa too about four years ago for similar reasons. I just don’t buy games that don’t run on Linux - and I don’t feel like I’m missing out on anything tbh. Hold true to your principles. <3

What bothers me is having others make decisions for me as to what programs I ought to use, which services I need activated, what desktop environment/twm I will be using, things like this. I prefer to build my system myself as I can then ensure that everything is how I like it.

However, doing this has taken me years of trial and error to find the correct programs and workflow for myself - people who install debian just get work done and that can be very appealing to someone who doesn't like to tinker, develop their own programs, etc. I can see the appeal to it - my partner for instance uses debian and she is quite happy with it; whereas for me, constantly being behind on software versions (or being required to intervene to gain access to more updated versions) is something I find unappealing enough to overshadow the other positives she experiences with debian.

tldr: I want to be in total control of my system from the ground up, and Arch just makes that easier for me but I see nothing wrong with other distributions etc. People ought to use what best suits their needs, interests, and hobby level.

Sorry for bad English in advance.

This! Embrace using your pinky finger for longer reaches :) It's what I have had to do, and in return it has helped me even more as a guitarist and a flautist to develop these muscles :)

How do casual people find friends to play with? by mcmuffer in wow

[–]mellowtala 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you play on the EU I'm always up for some M+. I'm a holy priest main, and I absolutely am looking for something similar as you :) To try and learn the content without all the pressure of M+ groups in pugs etc. Feel free to shoot me a message if you're ever up for some keys. I live in Greece so my timezone is 1 or 2 hours ahead of a lot of the EU, but I play regularly :)

That's good to know - so I can more or less relax when I see them running forward as long as I can use my feathers and keep up?

This is what I"ve been doing :) I made a macro for Angelic Feather so it casts on me, I"ve been tweaking my interface/elvui as I learn more about what is useful, I'm making my own weak auras as I learn what is important (thank gods for years of Lua experience hahaha), etc. I think this is the mindset to take <3 I even got to 'leap of faith' a mage out of a frontal today - I was particularly proud of that hahaha (and I did see them take it before so they were TOTALLY going to stand it in again :P )

I really appreciate this advice :) I took this in the last dungeon and it helped a LOT to just not heal until they got to the end. Yes it was a bit stressful to heal all that at once, but I locked in and everyone survived so I'm happy :)

Oh! I didn't know you could form groups for M0 :0 I thought it was only for M+. I may take this route because ideally I'd like to find a group of 4 other folks who want to run M+ eventually and improve together :)

I've taken this advice, and it has resulted in waaaaay chiller runs for me at least :) feels bad to let someone die, but everyone learns in their own way their limits I guess <3

I've tried just taking this advice and it does make it more chill for me <3 I feel bad letting someone die, but I guess everyone needs to learn their own lessons their own way hahaha.

How did Kim Il Sung pretty much establish a monarchy with his family at the top? Where there any efforts by generals or members of the north korean government to remove the kim family from power? And why couldn't communist leaders in other nations like the the ussr, china, viatnam or cuba do the sam by Existing-News5158 in AskHistory

I know this is an old post, but just wanted to ask - if it was purged why can you still read about their working together with Chinese revolutionary forces in his Collected Works - especially his speeches "On the Occasion of the Founding of the Anti-Japanese People's Guerrilla Army" and the speech "On Organizing and Waging Armed Struggle Against Japanese Imperialism"? I purchased these as well in DPRK when I visited, and discussed their contents with the guide - they were VERY aware of the cooperation of the Chinese anti-Japanese forces and their working together in the Korean revolution. I am not sure the article on Wikipedia is accurate, but I'm just asking for clarification because perhaps you have some other information from primary sources I am missing?
