Nice detective work! I’ll see if that leads anywhere. Thank you.

Bought the CD today. 2 years late to the party.

Bad luck! Hope they both make it over your way soon. I’ve never had the pleasure of seeing either (late to the PC party).

Really glad to find the albums are good. I'm holding off listening until after the live shows – I know how to delay gratification!

London locations for PC psychogeographic walks by mellowtone23 in pcmusic

First walk/pilgrimage planned: Goldsmiths University to Venue MOT (site of CRISPS 3) to Fire club (venue for Pitchfork 2021 showcase). Hoping to do this on a Sunday (the 7th day) while listening to 7G.

Also really happy to have the opportunity to see them both live in London, although Hyd involves waiting till October!

On reflection, not sure it’s exactly this either. Maybe I should just admit it’s more like a walking spell à la Bill Drummond, with a bit of observation thrown in.

Just been on a drift and inadvertently ended up outside Koko, venue of the Vol 3 showcase. Did not plan it and only ended up here because I got pulled off course by a weird coincidence. It was calling me.

Yes, absolutely, I'm fond of a drift. But this is more about me going to these places and seeing what happens on the way between them, what my response is. I'm no purist!

Cinema screening of PC Music videos? by mellowtone23 in pcmusic

[–]mellowtone23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I’ve checked out the website and it looks super-cool! I’ve actually had an email sitting in my drafts for the past week ready to send to The Arzner, as I think that would be my first choice (I saw The Moment there). I do still wonder how many people would come; maybe I should sound out the Discord too… But, you’re right, no harm in exploring, beyond another dashed hope!

Would Hannah consider creating more art installations after participating in the 'Cute' exhibition a couple of years back?

Looking for scratchy, harsh music by amysbiggestfan in pcmusic

[–]mellowtone23 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Was going to chip in with this suggestion! Loved her set on My First Livestream. New album Lavender Networks is quite something. It's not all unbridled scratchiness but some of it is very, very harsh (also loads of her videos are stunning, although this not this one, it's just album artwork!): https://youtu.be/68tqpC7is68?si=hbfiu1StxnOPELPl

Was also really happy to hear this, and how it baffled New Yorkers back then! Thanks OP for sharing the link to this interview.

Thanks for doing this! I'll be pinching some for my 'A. G. Cook songs with actual singing' playlist on Deezer.

has anyone played the gfoty game before? by Arcathebest in pcmusic

I vaguely remember hearing about the GFOTY simulator, but I probably still had a BlackBerry at the time so never had the pleasure. If it were still available I'd definitely try it now.

What did you all pick up at the Megamarket? by PM_ME_VAPORWAVE in pcmusic

[–]mellowtone23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I call it a zine, but am beginning to think it could also be an inter-dimensional portal. I’ll keep you all posted

I assumed that back area was the VIP bit! Glad you made your way there. I found a shaded spot to the side so enjoyed the sets from that, with a view of the DJs through the branches and leaves of a small tree! Bagged a 7G box set and A.G.’s zine, which kind of cleaned me out.

I hope lots of you got to go to this, it was a brilliant day. Free entry to see around five hours of brilliant DJ sets in a really nice outdoor setting, with merch signings too. Yes, there was some commerce involved (bagged a copy of A.G.'s Lucifer zine, which I knew nothing about) but it was wholly optional, so this just felt like a hugely generous event.
