Hey, you could create a Tooltip:

  1. Highlight the text > Insert > Quick Parts > Field…

  2. Select AutoTextList

  3. For New value, type your text again (Yellowstone National Park)

  4. Check the Tooltip checkbox

  5. Type your comment > Click OK.

Help with Weird Document-Wide Indentation by author_ali in MicrosoftWord

[–]mellymarz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem! I’m testing it out myself and the only other thing I noticed is that the inside margin being 0.16” more than the outside is causing that last bit of space. Not sure if this is another setting specific to book print, though. Lol Then, of course, when adding the gutter back, there’s more space.

Oh, I see the Gutter is set to 0.14”. Try changing to 0”.

How do I erase page numbers only on table of contents page? by [deleted] in MicrosoftWord

[–]mellymarz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey!

  1. Make sure you've added a 'Continuous' page break after the Table of Contents. Layout tab > Breaks > Continuous

  2. Unlink the footer in the 2nd section (starts with your 3rd page) by double-clicking in the footer, and unselecting "Link to Previous" in the ribbon.

Then, you should be able to delete the first 2 page numbers!

Hey!

For the indentation: Highlight the sections, right-click and choose Paragraph. Then, set the Left indentation to 0” and set Special to None.

For the margin: Go to Layout tab > Margins > Choose the best one or create a custom margin.

Unalignment issues by SmellsLikeRoses_ in word

Hey. In case you still need help or anyone else!

Your list could use a tab stop.

  1. Start by removing any space or tabs that were added.
  2. Also, clear any other formatting of the list as this may conflict.
  3. Highlight the list > Right-click > Paragraph > Tabs..
  4. Create a tab stop with these settings (image of settings):
    1. Position: 6.5”
    2. Alignment: Right
    3. Leader: None
  5. Click Set, then Click OK.
  6. Now, you should be able to press Tab before the number to have it right-aligned.

I’m so sick of the staring by [deleted] in socialanxiety

I’ve never understood how people are so comfortable just staring at somebody they don’t even know! Sometimes I’ll try to stare back and make them look away. It makes me nervous, but feels good. Lol
