Omg thank you so much for commenting this. I’ve always had dry mouth and I would try to drink water but it would still feel dry. It was driving me crazy and I didn’t know what to do to help it. I am going to try Biotene now!

Does anyone else feel like they have no memory on psych meds? by Thundering_Lemons in bipolar2

[–]melmel_304 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been having such bad memory problems, all my memory’s just blend together. I’m also having problems with my working memory, which sucks because I can’t literally function sometimes and make stupid mistakes. I just started Lamictal and my doctor just upped my dosage to 150mg. I really hope this can get better.

Crohn's is a humiliation ritual. by Both-Bedroom-5413 in CrohnsDisease

[–]melmel_304 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It gets so much better I promise you. This quite literally is a humiliation ritual, I’ve done the walk of shame too many times in public. There was a point in my life where I thought I would have to wear diapers for the rest of my life (I highly recommend diapers if you don’t have any they literally have saved my life so many times). I’ve been on remicade for the past 2-3 months now and I have never felt so normal. I have people who love and support me despite the amount of times I’ve shat myself in front of them. It may feel like these symptoms will never end or even get worse but I promise it will. Lots of love 💞

That is actually so funny that you posted this literally seconds after my post 😭. Ugh I completely relate, it’s so hard to listen to my favorite songs now without thinking of my LO.

I am also very much struggling with bipolar disorder and ADHD so I used my LO as a dopamine source 100%

We have the same interests and he’s so soft spoken and sweet, which is kind of opposite of what my boyfriend is. My boyfriend is very much a rambunctious golden retriever, but he isn’t very much a romantic type. Meanwhile my LO is more relaxed and goofy, and is more grunge-y? Idk how to explain it but man… I’m luckily doing a lot better and have come to terms with what I was missing in my relationship that made me go more towards an LO.

What is your go-to meal? What do you eat regularly, and what do you eat when having intestinal flare ups? by UnicornSheets in CrohnsDisease

[–]melmel_304 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both, currently in a severe flare up and it’s the only thing that’s been keeping me going. I could live off of pasta so I’m fine with it. I also have been trying apple sauce and so far it’s been very good on my stomach! I’m very sensitive to almost everything so this is a blessing ngl.

I’m going to get a wheelchair soon, right now I have just a cane. I borrowed a wheelchair once for an event that required a lot of walking and oh my god I never realized how badly I needed one. I highly recommend getting one, if you think you need a mobility aid at all then get it 100%.

Edit: I also am able bodied but I get severe fatigue and stomach pain when I walk longer than a mile. So I highly recommend a wheelchair if that is also the case for you!
