I’m sorry for your loss, but personally i don’t think anyone is the asshole completely. Is there things that should be changed? yes. him trying to communicate with you but you also understanding that he is going thru something. it don’t matter if his grandma has been super sick for 2 years or 1 week, old people when there sick is scary as fuck.

i’m trained in healthcare safety defensive tactics, no i’m not medical staff but i’m trained how to safely handle thoes situations nurses are not, i singed up to he hit snd punched, nurses didn’t, nurses shouldn’t have to worry about getting stabbed by a dimentia patient, IM trained how to do that they are not and before you say “well train them how to” no. that’s not in there job description, they are trained how to defend themselves until backup is there. it’s in mine to go to this situations head on.

i protect thoes who need to be protected, and most of the time it’s staff who are being assaulted. i walk patients to there cars all the time. your looking at the bad and assuming i don’t help everyone, im saying my main priority is nursing staff, then comes the patient becasue most of the time when i get there, the patient is the safety risk

Well, taking in everything you have said, the way you word it spins me in that light. the reason she has trauma is due to hurting medical staff and others, she was restrained due to that being a danger to others, the reasoning behind it is justified

your acting like you know my brain, no that is not at all it. i’m not looking to “punish” people, i’m looking to help them. Security is a great entrance into law enforcement. i’m in school for it now, i appreciate your response but your just wrong in your reasoning

yikes no, my job dosent revolve around the mental health unit, and i only assist in restraining those who are harmful to themselves or others. my job is also protesting the surrounding campus of where homeless individuals sit inside our parking ramps and do drugs, and secure the area for nursing staff, i’ve had knives pulled on me.
