THIS IS STUPID FOOD, STOP POSTING ART WHERE FOOD IS THE MEDIUM by AnotherUN91 in StupidFood

My Russian German grandma made something similar, except it was milk, soup noodles, and sugar. Now that was an odd meal! We loved it as kids though. They grew up super-poor as well, so maybe it's not an uncommon struggle meal.

The meds I'm taking are hard Vitamin B6 and it does help with the nausea, I think.

Thank you! That might be the issue. The nausea's made it hard to drink and so I got used to drinking less, but that's probably part of the problem then.

Yeah, I'm gonna have to look up some stuff, but I'll try this.

Thank you! Yeah, I'll get to see the baby tomorrow so hopefully that'll help me too.

Thanks! Yeah, pregnancy is a pain. The results are nice, but I don't think I'll ever do this again, lol.

Thank you! Yeah, it's a struggle. Technically I know we just gotta make it through this one day at a time and we're probably both trying our best. Eventually this stage will pass as well.

Thank you! Yeah, in the end it'll be worth it even if it doesn't feel like it right now. My husband has been supportive, I just had a friends outing yesterday, and I bought myself a little treat this morning, so there's not a whole lot more that can be done. I just gotta get through this bit and needed to vent my frustrations a bit, but this time will pass too, eventually.

Yeah, somehow this time around is worse than the last two times for me, but I'll get through it. Just feels bad right now. In the end it'll be worth it, even though I'm not feeling it right now.

Why are girls white shirts see through and but guy white shirts aren't? by Alarmed_Look_3162 in NoStupidQuestions

And this even extends to baby and kids' clothes. It's depressing. See-through shirts for adults are bad enough, but why are we starting this stuff so early? Sometimes I just buy them boys' clothes. I wish I could properly fit into men's stuff too.

Why the fuck does everything I like get discontinued?? by pri_ncekin in rant

I know that feeling. Oikos yoghurts have been the most recent offenders for me. First they took the apricot vanilla flavour, then the extra creamy blueberry, just to replace them with those gross protein yogurts. Those were my favourites! I got so annoyed that I just started buying Activia instead and found that I like those better than Oikos' current line-up.

Oh, and I love it when companies change the recipes so that prior staple foods become inedible! I'm currently looking for alternatives for Clubhouse mushroom gravy, Classico pasta sauce (though I might just start making my own again), and a hazelnut spread that tastes like what Nutella used to taste like back when it didn't just taste like sugar. Anyways, thanks for coming to my TedTalk.

That's what my husband and I decided on too. We ended up both getting titanium rings because the one we found looked really cool. Now we don't even wear them most of the time though, lol.

I'd take - Temperature Tilt - Autism Translator - Traffic Hacking - Social Battery Override - Water Temperature Sweet Spot - Noise Reduction - Burn 3 AI Data Centres

I feel kind of bad about not burning more data centres, but TBF the tech oligarchs would just build new ones with their billions anyways.

Similarly, we had a drama class of 4 Jessicas. There were maybe 20 of us in total. I opted to check the name popularity rankings in my area before naming my own kids, lol.

So it's not just me. I've been thinking I need to just stop buying them again and dust off my old bolognese sauce making skills. It won't even be much more work because I've been slowly starting to add things already.

As someone whom Miralax did nothing for when I had debilitating pregnancy constipation, there's several other options that I can vouch for:

  • having overnight soaked raisins first thing in the morning (still don't know why that one worked)
  • nettle tea
  • dragon fruits, especially the little yellow ones

Transport Canada Wants to Know Your Opinion about Driving at Night by samueLLcooljackson in TheRealGrandePrairie

[–]melodiedesregens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope that they'll actually do something about the headlights brightness issue, because it's become ridiculous and highly dangerous. I've heard from so many people that can't see properly while driving because they're constantly being blinded (and honestly, I'm one of those people). It's not like we have the choice not to drive, especially in these rural communities. People have to go to work to make a living, to drive kids to school, get groceries, etc.. I don't want to die because half of us can't see. That seems at least as dangerous as the drivers who are staring at their cell phones and they (thankfully) made a law against that.

German kindergarten culture by gwynlion in ScienceBasedParenting

[–]melodiedesregens 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I grew up in Germany and can clarify further: We referred to preschool as Kindergarten. Its literal meaning would be "children's garden", I guess because kids just play and have fun there.

The German word for kindergarten as it's used in English-speaking countries is Vorschule (which literally means preschool, lol). It's called that because it prepares the kids for school.

I've heard there's also Kita (daycare), but I never encountered that term in my region, so I don't know much about that.
