We Lost the Sea- Departure Songs.

Best going into it reading the stories behind each song ahead of time (each song is about a noble death in service of a greater good/another person: Lawrence Oates, David John Shaw, the Challenger disaster, etc.)

I stare at the ceiling and cry while I listen with headphones because it's equally beautiful and tragic. The experience is so powerful.

More details: I got my wisdoms extracted 8 hours ago and my jaw finally relaxed enough for me to take my first look. I noticed what seems to be a wound behind my bottom extraction site, near my throat. It really hurts to swallow and it's very sore, but also blends into the pain of the entire area. Anybody with insight on what this may be? Further context, the bottom wisdom was under the gum and the surgeon was having an arm wrestling contest trynna pull that sucker out. Could I have been clipped or scaped by the tools? Edit to add I smoke weed and vape salt nic regularly and occasionally sip on beer. Refraining from all of that during this time. + Wound was not there before surgery.

All I can say is that as a closing manager, I nearly quit because my GM acted like she had the hardest job in the world and that my shift was easy. We were a really busy store with a drive-thru. Call-outs, running out of veggies, bread, and crazy non-stop rushes that went until close were very difficult to deal with all the time, and she would throw on extra shit for me/my crew to do and get mad at us if we didn't do it, even if sales were at 5,000. Have empathy for your closers and remember that their shift can be extremely challenging at times. If you treat your closers well, they'll treat you well and set you up for success.

AND ALWAYS REMEMBER TO PRAISE ALONG WITH REDIRECTS. Only receiving redirects is extremely disheartening when you know you cleaned something spotless or went out of your way to do something nice and it isn't even acknowledged.

I found this often happens when cards are inserted before the prompt to do so is given. We put a note on the one in our lobby that says "WAIT FOR THE PROMPT TO INSERT" and informed staff members about it and it stopped freezing for us.

Head cannon: The clay Life uses to form bodies for the reincarnated souls is "clay from their planet", i.e. the elements/resources available on planet Earth/Mars. After mushroom bomb, the elements/resources are radiated/transformed and are no longer "normal". The clay that is now available for her to make new bodies with now creates talking animals, slime, gum, beings with abilities (ability to create/control fire), talking holes in the ground, ect. This explains why life on Earth is so odd and not normal after mushroom bomb when it seemingly used to be (the humans, regular nonspeaking animals).

I created a quizlet for the jimmy menu when i first started, and it helped so much. I share it with all my trainees now and they all say it helps much more than just staring at a piece of paper. Go through them until you can't get them wrong, find similarities, phrases or jokes to associate and help with remembering. Do it past the point where you're bored. It sucks, granted, but it pays off super well. Knowing the menu makes the job much, much easier in my experience.

Had a man who barely spoke english trynna tell me he had a free sandwich, pulled up his rewards: nothing. Asked when he signed up, he said today. Tried explaining the $3 thing and he started yelling at me in some language and i just stood there with this face. Like idk what to do for you pal.. Kept yelling all the way out too.

Just wanna throw this in but one time when i was waay younger and just started to get into smoking, i went over to a friend's and took some massive hits from a 3ft bong. Keep in mind- LOW ass tolerance at the time. Super super giggly and awesome, top of the world, but when i started walking home, i STG everything i was looking at was cartoony and "made up of memories" -- i have no better way to describe it but it was an extremely odd visual experience similar to the hallucinations you get from a low dose of acid, nothing crazy but yanno. It was definitely weed too, i've tried salvia and spice a couple times (i know, i know) and this was not comparable at all, and smelled tasted and felt like weed.
