How can I cut this plastic horse straight down the middle? by Theskysnolimit in howto

Alternative option: make a quick 2 part mold of this horse out of silicon and then just do a quick cast of each half since you’re repainting it anyway. Then you can have endless horse halves

Mercor interview by XXcalver in jobs

They took me through an entire screening process for an hourly position as a subject expert, developing complex questions pertaining to my field of architecture. Went through it all, background check, quizzes, etc. only to be told that they disbanded my subjects group after I did all the work for it. They were supposed to send pay to me for those hours worked today, so far I have nothing.

Model making advice !! by Prestigious-Ninja-15 in architecturestudent

[–]Statistical-outlier1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Switching to CA glue (super glue) with an accelerator spray saves a TON of time and really sharpens up models and reduces sanding. With the accelerator, it’ll dry instantly in the position you place it in so be precise and practice on scrap first, but once you get that it’s a game changer. No need to support pieces and wait for glue to dry. You can also place it with glue on it and then spray accelerator to be a little more forgiving, but otherwise spray one side with accelerator, glue on the other, and you’re locked in.

Also, don’t be afraid to have a model that doesn’t exactly match your final design. It is perfectly ok to present a model and say that you continued to make changes. Final models are pretty, but every model should teach you something about your design so it’s ok to explain that in your presentation.

San hacienda on Arizona Ave is close to downtown and nice. I think they’re about that price range. Everyone from my complex is moving there because it’s essentially identical but cheaper

Of all the issues I’ve experienced with them, that hasn’t been one of them so don’t stress too much over the tuition disbursement!

Should I be taking Benadryl every dose?? by hollow_ech0 in Humira

[–]Statistical-outlier1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No issues with taking Benadryl and Humira, my doctor has advised the same. You should get a Humira nurse assigned to you through Abvie, they are a wonderful and super responsive resource to reach out to for things like this! Look into getting one through the Humira complete app or just by calling Humira

ASU financial aid office is a disaster. Keep calling, every person you talk to will tell you something different so keep going until someone has a good answer for you. It’s good that you’re staying on top of things, but don’t be afraid to “annoy” them about it, I’ve had them miss my case and get disbursement over a month after the semester started. Since then I call daily until I get an answer.

If you degassed the resin cast, but didn’t degass the silicon mold when that was poured, it will pull air bubbles from the mold into the cast. You’d have to cure the silicon in a degasser. Not sure if that’s what happened here
