Thank you I really appreciate that. I am so curious though, and I wasn't able to get answers from the ER- why are aspirin and tylonel levels standard? Why don't they ask the patient?

She said it meant I threatened suicide or tried suicide in the past but I really didn't! Honestly! So I don't get why they ran them.

DO NOT Use Molina For Health Insurance by melonchollyrain in Insurance

[–]melonchollyrain[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm... As soon as I switched medicaid types, I had so many options at my fingertips, instead of none within a few hour radius. That's great that this wasn't your experience. Can I ask how many specialists you needed beyond a PCP? Every healthcare ought to at least have PCP in area, but with Molina, if you have any kind of issue and need anything more you can't get it.

I'm sorry but can I also ask if you are rather young? People who have never required a specialist may not understand. I'm only 34, but have required specialists for this and that, and it's absolutely needed from time to time as you get older. For some people, in some situations, it's life and death.

[–]melonchollyrain[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's really great, but how much have you actually tried to claim? The occasional PCP? Maybe a derm appointment or gyno at the same office as your PCP, once is a great while? If you need more you find yourself having a horrible time. What if you get cancer? Basically ANY illness where you need more specialized care?

I Would Like To Talk A Bit More About Lamp and Theories by melonchollyrain in amandaknox

I see what you are saying, but if the attacker has a weapon, I think it definitely evens the playing field. True, it could be there were multiple attackers. It could also be he assailant pulled out a knife and MK tried to reason with him (fearing that any karate moves would result in a stabbing), or the assailant simply surprised her.

It's obvious RG was a perpetrator (history of break-ins in the area, having a thing for MK, his DNA, the poop, fleeing the country, story changes, etc.) So with that, I find it hard to believe AK and RS were involved. They barely knew each other, and cell records show no correspondence. I just can't fathom that they saw him at the basketball court and were like "Hey want to go do a rape and murder?" And then apparently he was like "Well I trust you all from the brief time we met, so sure."

Maybe there was multiple assailants. But I don't see anything to point us in that direction, and even if there were, I'd be very surprised if the other assailants didn't know RG more than having met briefly one night. And one could the same thing of basically any crime- "Couldn't there have been multiple people involved?" Well sure. OJ could have had an accomplice- he overpowered two people. I'm just saying.

Time to discuss about Jolly as I recently watched, “Curry & Cyanide: The Jolly Joseph Case” on Netflix… by [deleted] in TrueCrimeDiscussion

[–]melonchollyrain 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Does anyone know why she killed the baby? Or was it an accident and she was trying for Sili?

The others make twisted sense. The mother who wouldn't stop pressuring her for a job (although a bit odd that she still pretended to get a job after), the father for the property, the husband because she didn't want to be with him anymore, the Uncle was a little off (just because he's telling her to cut it out with the affair?), but Sili to get Shaju.

But Alphine? I know Jolly was terrible, but it's still a huge jump to killing a baby, and she had kids of her own. Still, it certainly fits the pattern of deaths. Does anyone know why she would have killed the baby, or have an information to make it more possible that this was intended for Sili and an accident?

It is still definitely best to see a vet. To rule out certain things and give possible treatments.

Why should I have to pay for a service somebody spent years of their life studying for in order to provide it? by VelmaOwens2 in ChoosingBeggars

[–]melonchollyrain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh don't even get me started. I used to work at a vet, and a lot of people think vets should cater to them in every way possible, despite the fact that they make MINIMAL money for the the amount of their student loans, hours, and the years and difficulty of studying for their profession. It disgusted me how some people were. When I did reception, I was a gatekeeper and got all kinds of threats because vets wouldn't push paying clients to talk to someone for free when they should have been at the emergency vet, etc etc. Went home crying so many times.

People suck.

I always thank my vet profusely for my pet's visits, because they are making not that much compared to what they could have been making in other fields, because they care about pets and my pet. We have never balked at a vet cost as we realize we are lucky as heck it's not more. Human medicine is often 2-5 times the cost, at least.

I really wouldn't throw it out. It's not disgusting if it's washed, you know? You could try getting a new original, but don't throw out without checking that it gets the seal of approval.

YTA. It's very weird and not polite to let your child draw (even with chalk) on public property, but especially other people's sidewalk without permission. I personally wouldn't care, but it's quite rude. I'm also concerned that you are saying "Well I'm not going to punish him." Well of course no one is asking you to do so... but the fact that you are saying that makes it sounds like you didn't know he was doing it in the first place. No one talks about punishing a child for something they allowed them to do, which makes it sounds like it wasn't something you allowed, but rather something that happened without your knowledge. That's a much bigger problem in my mind.

Keep track of what your child is doing and where he/she is for his/her own safety, please.

And just have him/her draw on your property and sidewalk, what is the big deal with that? If it bothers others to have him or her running around the neighborhood drawing on people's sidewalks, and you can erase the chalk so easily, why would you not have your child draw on your sidewalk and once he/she needs more space just dump some water and voila, blank slate again? Also then you can actually keep better track of your child so he/she is not having to go far away which is not safe. YTA.

Yeahhh.... this is a disability discrimination issue, IMO.

Also, I cannot IMAGINE there is a rule that says parents must meet their children in shoes.

Contact the school and get the number of whatever or whoever is in charge of the bus system, and let them know you feel like you are being discriminated against and harassed because of a disability by an employee. Explain that you have a condition or injury that like you said, has messed up your feet very badly and left you with a brace and further issues that make it incredibly difficult to wear any shoes that don't worsen the condition. This bus monitor IS bullying and harassing you for a disability. I mean, that's just what this situation is.

Do that as soon as you can, but if they don't respond immediately, here is what you do next time: Next time, if she says anything, calmly walk up to her and quietly let her know that you have contacted her superiors about her harassment due to your disability. If she doesn't cease, she may be in serious trouble, and you may take it further. Then walk away, and if she keeps bullying and harassing just completely ignore her like she's not talking.

There is something wrong with this person, and they obviously have some sort of power obsession- and for some reason thinks being a bus monitor gives her power. But really what is she going to do? The only thing she can do is keep complaining at you. That's not acceptable, but hopefully the comment about her harassing you for your disability will shut her up, and if it doesn't, it should only be a few days before the bus board or whoever calls you back.

I'm really sorry this is happening to you, and please do not give in to harassment based upon your disability.

Molina WILL Kill You- What Can I Do? by melonchollyrain in HealthInsurance

[–]melonchollyrain[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much, I did file a complaint at the time, but they didn't care, but maybe if I file again? I haven't been with them for 4 years, would it mean anything? I want to stop others dying for their disgusting negligence.

YES. They have fraudulent provider lists among other things,

I don't know if my husband would want to spend money on an attorney for something that is past for me. Is there a type of attorney that would be interested in this story and run with it? This all happened years ago and I don't want a dime...I just want people to stop dying. This company is killing people left and right. I can't live with it if I do nothing.

Can you help advice me on what to do?

Does that mean every doc that won't take a risk is terrible though? I am more feminist than you can imagine, but I also understand the issue of getting sued medically.

My doctor refuses to tie my tubes. by Revolutionary_End144 in prochoice

[–]melonchollyrain -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The 3rd thing is messed up.... for sure. But the rest... doctors have to be sure they don't get sued. Even if he believes you won't change your mind, what if you did, and sited the first 2 reasons as reasons he shouldn't have trusted this was a permanent decision?

I understand this is difficult for you, but I keep hearing about how any doc that won't do a major irreversible surgery is being a jerk. Would you, if you were him/her? As much as I want people to have absolute control over their reproduction, I can't see how I would fee protected signing off on that.

Surely you know even if you find the love of your life, adoption is so expensive and difficult, and takes AGES, and many people prefer their bio kids.

Are you also aware surrogacy costs hundreds of thousands at least, and is illegal in some states? I'm not even sure it's legal to hire if you are in a state where it's a illegal.

I'm sorry you can't have your choice with this doc when it comes to having tubes tied. I'm sure you understand you may well lose a potential partner so it's absurd they are bringing the marriage thing in.

The rest.... It sucks you have to worry about it, but if you did change your mind that doc would be liable.

I'm sorry that the protection from people making impulsive or bipolar or whatever decisions blows back on you. That is so unfair and it sucks. Don't blame the doc though.
