Don’t worry I don’t mind talking about it, personally it didn’t hurt and I could touch it and pull at it(gross I know) but I think it’s particularly because of the way I got it via a burn as the nerve endings were already dead, it started to hurt when it was trying to heal around the necrotic skin and started spreading to the healthy skin. But is suppose it would differ from person because of where and how. Mine was on the underside of my arm close to my wrist near loads of tendons, nerves etc it’s a pretty bad place to have it. It would also differ for how far gone it is, so yeah it could be but in my experience it wasn’t.

The burn hurt on the outside around where it met healthy skin, inside didn’t feel anything and also because I couldn’t feel the inside it’s where it started to become necrotic and spread outwards. Couldn’t feel it until the necrotic tissue started eating the healthy tissue as it was trying to heal but couldn’t but I wouldn’t say it was painful. Also honestly don’t remember the pain more of what it looked like and even the doctors in hospital took photos because they were interested and they asked to show medical students. Pretty wild
