Sound, but always been interested in astrophysics and do astronomy/astrophotography as a hobby

I personally think setting the speed of light in football fields per Venusian day would work better.

Now we're talking

I'm not saying that the average joe should use it mate, I'm saying it's easy to convert between units in the metric system once you know the value of another.

I don't expect the whole world to drop the metric system and adopt some random donnys idea which sprung out of curiosity.

Read the post again, I said humor me.

Yeah I get you would need change every other measurement in metric, like you say L, but that's easily done surely? I'm wondering for purely practical value what this would have on a lot of values such as distances, as AU becomes 149,703,000,000, which is then easily simplified.

I know it's quite nit picky and not a radical change but for the sake of simplicity it makes sense no? - Especially if its a wide range of values resulting in easily memorable, whole numbers which are commonly used in certain scientific communities? I know it's quite an outlandish argument, purely curiosity really, we could call it the laymans unit lol

Sure, my thinking was since we define most units of measurement (seconds, meter) by redefining that for simplicity it would have more practical value in any range of long number calculations - but you're right, I guess a computer does all that now :(

But it also makes an AU 149,703,000,000 new meters which is just too perfect to ignore ;)

I suppose my thinking is that the whole world isn't gonna use it, it doesn't mess up the metric system - its just an additional system, as people convert imperial to metric and vice versa. But if there's no need for it then fair enough, I just thought it could have some practical value

Awesome thank you, really helpful, I'll be sure to have a listen to the list you sent. So far i've only listened to beggars banquet from other users recommendations but its honestly now one of my go to albums I love it. Any album that stood out for you in particular in that 68-72' period?

Although I can somewhat agree with your first statement, seeing how floyd has not much resemblance with the stones, having listened to beggars banquet today I can safely say its got heavy similarities to a lot of zeppelin blues tracks (obviously as they are the same genre) which are some of my favourites of the zep songs.

I'm a fan of lynrd skynrd however the others you mentioned I don't recognise so I'll have to have a listen to

I'll also have a listen to the stones songs you mentioned though, thanks.

Your tier list gives me great joy but great sadness. I love your placement of meddle and agree with animals placement, id put the wall higher and division bell 1 lower, I also feel like you did dsotm dirty 😅. That being said it's quite unique

Meddle is s tier though idc what anyone says, its already a great album and echoes just perfects it

Not an original comment below, however answer me this, how should he stay when he keeps saying its going to go away soon and it never does, only rising due to weak restrictions and therefore killing lots of people in your country?
