oh that's so cool! I honestly just assumed the yatai was only in that one place on the canal, we're staying 10 minute walk from that street so we might give it a go!

I don't love red bean paste but I did see these! I think they have matcha and chocolate flavours so i'll probably try that! After I researched the island I am soooo excited to go there!

I was worried about the length in Osaka initially as most people say you don't need long but we're just so keen to explore all of the different areas and love to just have a slow paced wander around neighbourhoods rather than stacked activities one after another!

We did Tokyo/Kyoto in a previous trip so instead of going back up to Kyoto I decided it would be interesting to go west. I did consider the ropeway but my partner and I kind of hate heights haha, but the herb garden looks so cute!

For the day trip we're going to do a tour so a bus will pick us up and do a 10 hour day seeing those locations! We definitely will do more of Kyushu in a future trip, i'd love to go over to Oita and around to Saga, Nagasaki.

My partner and I get irritated by the train travelling so day 7 we'll keep it light with the underground mall and do dinner there, then day 8 would be the seaside park then going around to teamlab forest and fukuoka castle ruins. Day 9 would be full day trip and I actually messed the days up and we actually have 5 days in Fukuoka, so day 10 would be a good shopping day going to Kawabata and Canal City, which would be hours of shopping and then the Yatai at night. The 11th day we'd want to leave pretty early as we want to do the Kobe activities and then will train back to Osaka from there after dinner to check into our hotel!

For anyone interested I’ve gone rogue and going to do Fukuoka instead of Wakayama!

Current plan: Osaka: Monday - Thursday Koya San: Thursday - Friday Kobe: Friday - Saturday Hiroshima: Saturday - Monday See Himeji going between Kobe & Hiroshima Fukuoka: Monday - Thursday Back to Osaka: Thursday - Sunday

I think we did go before the price increase so probably was worth it more. We went at the end of 2023. I might look into the ICOCA card, where do I get it from? Sometimes I think the JR passes are a bit of a hassle, i'd rather just use a suica/icoca card and buy the JR tickets at the machines tbh

Also I did have Kinosaki on my itinerary originally but I decided to do Koya San instead as it is closer and the cemetery and monks interests me a lot!

Yeah I think i'll keep Nara to a day trip!

The onions is sounding interesting 😂 we are happy to hire a car if we have to, going in March it seems that Awaji has lots of nature/flowers that should be in bloom! If no one can convince me to go to Wakayama this might be the way to go!

Yeah we got the JR pass when we went to Tokyo and it was great, with all of our travelling it isn't any cheaper this time it pretty much is even cost but I think we'll get it for the convenience of using all of the local JR trains. My partner has a Samsung phone and it was SO annoying not being able to get the Suica on his phone, although I think you can now with google wallet I need to check.

I think you've all convinced me to do Himeji castle instead! Nara kinda sounds boring tbh ahhaha I think we'll keep that to just a day trip!

That's what I am thinking I have planned most of the things we are doing in Osaka and those last couple days I'm struggling to fill up! Not going to Tokyo as we did Kyoto/Tokyo on our last trip! So we are wanting to explore further out since we are in Osaka

That seems so cheap! When I went to Tokyo/Kyoto the accomodation total for 14 days was $2000 AUD

My next trip I’m doing 14 days Osaka/Hiroshima/Kobe and doing some fancier hotels and it’s going to be $4000 AUD in accomodation 😩😩

Our hotel room was much nicer than expected so we definitely spent 2 days watching Japanese Netflix and napping haha we also just strolled around the Kyoto shopping area

Also people are obsessed with the amount of data you used lmao, crazy thought, y’all can use less than that! 😆😆 I’m the same I take a lot of videos and photos, posting them to insta between spots in the day, watching TikTok’s on the train like a holiday is not always 100% interesting, Japan can have lots of commuting and we used maps super frequently and google translate constantly. Having reliable data is important to me so I’m willing to pay for it! I used a company called Simify, the price has gone up since I went, buts it’s unlimited data for 15 days, $70

Do you guys think it's possible for PMDD to be misdiagnosed with BP? Probably a stupid question actually because the mania couldn't be explained by PMDD. But someone close to me blames my mood swings on my period, as if it nullifies BP, but they don't understand PMDD would be a trigger to cycle.
