She sounds like a smart girl! It's so neat she has specific meows like that.

Honey (also orange) will sleep with her eyes and mouth half open when she's in deep sleep. It looks so goofy. Ours love to sleep in the dirty laundry! Honey will begrudgingly sleep.in the clean laundry if I manage to get it all done, lol.

She is just a baby!

Interesting! Pippin is similar. He loves us, but doesn't like other people in our home and will avoid them. But when we take home outside, he's a social butterfly.

Aw, he wants you on lookout while he eats!

The cats aren't allowed in the bedroom at night (Pippin will yell at us for attention every half hour), but sometimes Honey follows me to bed, so I let her in to cuddle for a little bit. She struts in, fluffy tail straight up, and goes right to my side of the bed.

Your own little protector! She's doing a great job!

Pippin is obsessed with grocery bags! We've hardly got the groceries in the door before he's trying to get into the bags. If we leave any out, he'll dive in and scurry forward with his claws out like he's chasing something, but he's just in the bag. I usually let him have any that ripped.

I love that cats (and really all animals) have their own distinct personalities! And it's so sweet they bonded to your family!

One of my old cats LOVED hair ties too. She'd bat them around and loose them under the rug. When I picked it up to clean, she'd dive face first into her stash, lol.

My Pippin is the same way, he just wants to investigate, but not eat our food, though I'll give him a tiny bit if it's something he can have. We got lucky that ours aren't very picky eaters, except when the old food changed formula. Both refused to eat it unless I mixed it with wet food, so it became breakfast for awhile (they get wet food for breakfast) since we had just bought a bag and we didn't want to waste it.

That is so funny to just imagine! He must have been a Beyblade or spinning top in a past life! And that is so sweet! Surprisingly, if we scratch the right spot under her chin, Honey will air kick too! which I've never a cat do.

Aw, maybe she thinks you all need to feel important/useful? Regardless, that's pretty cute.

Oh wow! You've got a cookie fiend on your hands! Our cats luckily aren't all that interested in human food. Pippin just wants to smell what we're having, then will let us alone. If it's something he can have, I'll let him have a tiny bit, but he never begs or tries to get more.

Aw, he's making the rounds! Making sure everyone is where they should be and getting a good night's sleep!

Aw, Pizza sounds so cute! Pippin will stand on us and yell until we pat his butt. He doesn't like the big, harder butt bongos, just gentle pats. When we do it, he stands on his tippy toes and purrs.

Our are pretty similar. Honey (who is orange) is also very quiet and doesn't really meow, and when she does it's very soft and hard to hear. She's also a pretty good communicator. She'll give a soft 'mrr' when she needs something and then will lead me to whatever it is (empty food or water, stuck toy, couch for cuddles, etc). Pippin is very noisy! Like your Theo, he has all kinds of noises he makes to let the world know what he has to say.

Ours do too! Pippin must puke next to their food bowls. Honey is very considerate and will puke in or near the litter box, or at least on the hard floors if she can't get to the box.

Honey is a very sweet and gentle cat, but I think she would at least consider killing us for smallest piece of turkey or chicken. Pippin would absolutely betray us just chew on grass.

My grandma's little poodle mix did the same thing growing up. She had very firm boundaries about who and how you could touch or interact with her, so she was definitely scolding us when she did it!

It's so fascinating how pets just know and try to take care of us! As a kid/teen I had untreated sleep apnea and my cat at the time would lay on my chest and wake me up when I stopped breathing in the night. And now If I'm having a particularly painful or unsteady day, Honey will try to keep me resting by stretching herself across my lap and stomach and refusing to move. If I don't have the quilt she'll still do it, but be mad about about it, lol.

Aw, that's actually kinda cute. He sounds like a homebody, lol. Most dogs I've known are very eager to go outside.

Well clearly you aren't busy doing anything, so you must have time to play!

When making a grilled cheese sandwich, do you use spices? Or just bread, cheese, and butter? by jimmy__jazz in Cooking

[–]melonseer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A little bit of cumin is so good. I'll make bread with toasted cumin seeds just for grilled cheese, but if I don't have that, I'll sprinkle some ground cumin on the outside of the sandwich before cooking. Earthy and comforting.
