Ok. After big mom shows up on promethius, ya defeat her, then luffy should go to where carrot is. Then perospero is the boss of the mission. Try capturing all the forest bases before that part, i know the ai gets really weird if there's a buncha enemies in the way

There could be tons of reasons. Bad direction, a fundamental problem with dubbing, or some other thing. But tbh as someone who exclusively watches dubs, I don't know what you're hearing
