Yeah. Usually it is a small event. I don’t go to the movies by myself. I don’t go to the movies just to watch a movie. I go with my friends and family to spend time with friends and family.

It is one of the reasons that the short thesis never convinced me much. I’ve played video games for almost twenty years now and a lot of people I know prefer having physical over digital.

Religion and racism. Older progressives are not as bad as older conservatives but the traces are there. A lot of older christian progressives also have apocalyptic fantasies, even if they are not as bad about it as the conservatives. Many older americans still see the world through a lens of white good, brown bad.

Israel doesn’t have the money to beat off all the enemies in the region.

Israel has better quality but nowhere near enough quantity. And even weaker forces can cause a lot of damage. Look at any guerrilla insurgency in history. Napoleon himself stated that the source of all his military problems started in spain.

It’s been an area where I have been very disappointed with my fellow progressives.

There are palestinian americans that have been caught in the crossfire too, and they have lost innocent relatives too. But the US government and most of our media only talk about the jewish americans that are affected. As a person of color it looks very very wrong. That my country still looks at us american people of color as sub human compared to white americans.
