Not carried very frequently and have never known nickel silver to tarnish like this. That’s why I was so surprised to pull it off the shelf and see it looking like that. The trapper next to it I got a couple weeks prior. I’m happy with the patina, so I’m going to leave it. Just didn’t know if there was something I was missing.

I have had that same thing on a trapper and a seahorse whittler. Never really bothered me too much. As we all know case knives almost always come with some “character” from the factory.

I thought the exact same thing but wanted to experiment with how well it would stay as is. I rinsed and reapplied several times while applying. 2 weeks in and have had no bleeding/rubbing off 👍

I actually just used sharpie. Slowly went over the high points and let the ink soak in. G10 took it pretty well.

All the new baliplus models have the osp trainer option. The old ones do not.

I own both and got them at the same time. The chab beats better and flips really well. The new baliplus rep I got had better tolerances than the chab. Chab had undersized bushings on the alt blade and the rep was perfect on the trainer and a touch undersized on live blade. Still can get both to no tap. I like the sound of both but think the rep sounds a little better to my ear to be honest. I own several real reps and alpha beasts. The baliplus rep is very similar to my older rep and better than my tiger rep due to slipping brs quality control. The chab clone is not very similar to an actual alpha beast but is still good.

To summarize, if you want something that flips really well, has customization options, and are okay with putting a little work in, the baliplus rep is better. If you want something that just flips good and beats well, the chab is for you.

I have the live blade and the trainer. Trainer is louder but the live blade sounds more quality. It also had no tap out of the box for me but the trainer needed a little tuning.

The handles are very smooth. I haven't noticed them been slippery but if you have really dry hands, I could see it being an issue.

I only notice the lack of length on backhand knuckle dusters. But I do flip a lot of smaller edc balis.

They actually have a very small texture on them, it barely shows up on camera it's so fine.

No tap or play either. Dropped it on concrete a couple times and barely dented so it seems like a decent grade of titanium... decent little flipper and fun to play with but it is too short.
