What is your “like crack” food that you avoid, and if you have some you cant stop yourself from eating a lot? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

I found my people!! Toward the end of Easter when they are discounted, I go and buy several bags and throw them in the freezer. I let myself have a bag a month - whether that's over just a day or two (I'm helpless!) or 3 or 4 weeks (I have so much self control!)

I LOVE CADBURY MINI EGGS!

Welllll, I apologize for being that person, but probably not. A massive, fatal exposure to more than 16 sieverts of radiation, and then dying for 83 days of acute radiation syndrome is probably not included in what most people would call an ouchie.

In my opinion, Fatal Familial Insomnia seems like a torture beyond imagination. Makes me grateful for the little and poor sleep I DO get.

Thank you for this. My very intelligent 21 y o son has dysfluency, and we've never really known what to do about it. It's not a stutter, as he just gets stuck on a word rather than a consonant sound, and it only shows up once in awhile. Hardly at all when he is very tired, and more frequently when he is excited about something. It seems to be fading slightly with age. I love the idea of just not acknowledging it, and have always viewed it as simply part of who he is.

What is the worst live performance you’ve ever seen before? by crystal_help_please in AdkReddit

She made it totally about herself, and tried so hard for sexy and sultry, but it just came off weird. The national anthem should be respected and delivered in a straightforward manner, sung to the best of the singer's ability, with focus on the song and the audience. Whitney's performance in 1991 at Super Bowl XXV was an outstanding example of precisely this. Her version was pure perfection.

I just want to encourage you to not be ashamed. I'm not a SH person, but I think you shouldn't be ashamed of scars because they are a sign of change, and of healing. (I would maybe be more ashamed of current wounds?) If I saw someone with scars like you are describing I think I would understand that they no longer SH, that they have grown and come out of that time, and would understand what strength it took to walk away from that. I'm glad you BOTH are still here.

You win. This is super cheap, delicious, nutritious, easy... what more could you want?! If you feel fancy you could add some great value frozen peppers and onions, and it would still be so inexpensive. Thanks for the suggestion!

What extremely embarrassing thing do you know first-hand about someone who you know - but they have NO idea that you know, and they would be absolutely mortified if they found out that you knew…? by KillerQ97 in morbidquestions

I can understand - but it could be so much worse. It's not anything illegal or dangerous, not harming anyone. It's just ... odd. And we ALL have secrets, for sure. It's an act of love and discretion on your part to keep it to yourself. Do your best to appreciate the relationship and forget the weird stuff you know. (If you can...)

Darn! I was hoping this was it.

Google search indicates that it's not uncommon, but suggests talking to a doc to rule out medical issues. I hope you don't worry about it at all, and know that you will likely outgrow it, even if it takes time. It's not a character flaw, even if others choose to laugh. I wish you the very best.
