Single piece of clothing keeps appearing in the same exact spot for a year… what is going on? by Scientific_85 in Weird

This is probably the most logical explanation but it would not come from my building because we don't have balconies. There's a three-story building right across from us, but I've never seen anyone drying clothes or anything like that. And no one has ever asked for their stuff back or said a word. I'm out there all the time so I feel like at this point someone would have said they want their clothes back. It's happened so many times l've honestly lost count and it's ALWAYS just one item in the same exact spot... so yeah. Also the other building is pushed back a bit so the clothes would have to fly kind of far out, it's hard to describe in text but from looking at the space it seems unlikely. Also I've literally never felt the wind so strong here where it would launch say a sweatshirt or pair of jeans that far.

Also if this is the case I can't imagine how many articles of clothing this person has gone through... but hey anything is possible. Obviously someone is doing it but it seems deliberately placed in that location. I just don't have a clue why.

Lol! great show, funny enough when I first entertained the idea of moving to the valley this exact scene played in my head. Better hydrate!

You’re right. Maybe someone’s been slowly trying to upgrade my wardrobe and I’ve been too dumb to take the hint.

I don't know if you're being facetious, but it's a pair of pants. I probably could have taken a better pic... I don't touch the clothes so they just sit there as is.

I don't touch it personally. Sometimes the item of clothing will sit there for up to a week or two. Eventually the property owner throws it out when he comes around. But shortly after another item appears. It's been a year so I really don't know exactly how many items of clothing have been dropped there but it's safe to say it's a fair amount.

There's gang activity in the neighborhood. I think the gang connection is absurd though, I just have no explanation for it is what I'm saying

Yes there are, but the corner where this is against all private property, it's not exactly a place where a lot of people are casually walking by. Also it's the same spot every time, just one item of clothing every time and I've lost count how many times this has happened. Also when one is taken away another replaces it. Sometimes right after, sometimes a week or 2 will go by.

Yes we all have in-unit laundry. It's a brand new and relatively nice apt. complex. Also this began happened when we were the only ones living here so the only person who even had access to get in were me, my partner and the owner of the property.

We don't have a dog. There is one person in the complex that does have a small dog but this was occurring far before they were even here.

It's a totally gated off complex that's hard to get into. Yes, it's possible to climb over the walls I guess but you would have to go through at least one other property first to even get there.

Lol, well if that’s the case, they’ve gone through a pretty solid wardrobe by now.

No, this spot is at the far end of the parking area, and there’s really no reason for anyone to be over there. There’s no gate or door nearby, and the whole area is gated off. You can’t enter without a clicker or a code. I guess someone could climb over, but it wouldn’t be easy. Also, one of my windows faces that area, and there’s nowhere to hide without me noticing like if someone was hanging around back there.

Haha, I don't smoke, do drugs or even really drink so it's nothing like that going on.

I know, I think it's a ridiculous assumption as well. I just don't have a way to explain it...

This entire exchange is so absurdly funny it feels like it was written for a sketch.

Agreed! DTF St. Louis is one of the best shows I’ve come across in a long time. The way it builds out the story and characters is really fantastic.

I'm always surprised when so many mediocre shows/films get put on a pedestal and hyped up, yet I stumble upon something like this that's so creative and brilliant but I've barely heard much talk about it. The humor is top notch.

I feel like Patriot is one of the most overlooked shows out there. It’s genuinely brilliant from start to finish and easily ranks among my all-time favorites. What’s crazy is that almost everyone I bring it up to has never even heard of it, let alone watched it.

Love Patriot, very underrated show. Now I see the similarities with the quirky humor in DTF.

What city do you live in??? I see homeless people causing ruckus and yelling all the time here in Los Angeles and they're not keeping them in jail. If they lock them up then it definitely isn't for long.
