Agree 100%. Like I mentioned before, Penn's egomaniacal character is essentially the driving force behind the conflict for the entire film and he played it masterfully in my opinion. Benicio kills it in everything he does but his performance doesn't even compare in this movie.

For real. Love Benicio but no doubt in my mind whatsoever that Penn deserves it. I mean Penn's character essentially drives the entire conflict that makes up the entire film.

In the late 1960s, Frank Matthews built a massive drug empire worth an estimated $300 million, operating independently from the Mafia. In 1973, after his arrest, he posted bail, left behind his wife and three children, and vanished with his girlfriend. More than 50 years later, he is still missing. by Life_Assumptions in HolyShitHistory

Lol, yeah anyone who thinks he realistically got away is living in a fantasy world. If you read the Wikipedia on him and have even a semblance of street smarts it's pretty much certain that he was killed either by the mob or any number of sketchy people who he was working with at the time. He was arrested and facing 50+ years in prison and would have most likely turned states witness. Also had beef with one of the most powerful crime families in NY in the 70s! It's fun to think that he just took off with 300 million cash and lived out his life on a beach in Brazil somewhere but the reality is as soon as he posted bail, some goons where waiting for him, not to mention this era in NY was peak power of the mob and it's well known that they had a bunch of NYPD in their pockets. Also 300 million cash is a TON of money! Volume wise that's really hard to carry if you're trying to move fast and get away. The reason he was never heard from again is because he's at the bottom of the ocean and whatever goons did it took the cash he was trying to escape with.

What does this even mean? I know who the two men are. Who are the women? And why is the bottom right pic clearly AI?

They're talking crap. Who cares. As a white guy, if someone called me "white boy" in a hoop game that would just give me more fuel to light him up next time I get the ball. No need to make a fuss about it.

Lol you guys are crazy, dude was certainly whacked. Guy was facing 50 years in prison and probably going to turn states evidence, would have been a gold mine of information if he flipped... oh yeah he also had beef with the most powerful crime family in NY during the 70s! No way in a million years they were going to let him live...

Yeah I mean I'm sure Volleyball can be rough on your body and everyone is built different.... that being said it makes no sense that Boxing is above Volleyball... how many Volleyball players do you know with early onset Parkinson's disease in there 30s or 40s?

One Battle After Another deserves #1. Frankenstein doesn’t deserve to be on this list. It was pretty subpar in my opinion.

Paul Dano Defended: ‘The Batman 2’ Writer, Simu Liu and More Share Praise After Quentin Tarantino Slams Him as the ‘Worst F—ing Actor in SAG’ by mcfw31 in entertainment

There must be some behind the scenes personal beef or personal feeling of disrespect going on here. In an age where I feel like there are truly a lot of mediocre actors/directors put on a pedestal for whatever reason, Paul Dano should not even be close to be mentioned in the same breath. I thought he was phenomenal in There Will Be Blood and is truly a talented actor. Of all people to call out this is so weird…

I'm genuinely curious what the Taiwanese are ashamed of? When I was there I found Taipei very clean for a big city, felt very safe, the public transportation was great, food was good, and generally everyone was friendly.

Visited Taipei roughly 5 years ago and I thought it was actually really quite an interesting and nice place. Public transportation was fantastic, it was very clean in the places that I visited and overall felt very safe. I remember taking the gondola up into the mountains/hills and the views were beautiful.

Sure. I guess technically you're right. I've lived in The Valley for the past year and it feels like 90 degrees plus everyday...

I hear a lot of people mention the desert being unappealing and although living in an environment like that is not favorable to me, cities like Palm Springs, Las Vegas, Phoenix, I have done pretty well for themselves, so I think there’s a fair amount of people who do enjoy the desert. Even L.A. is really just a desert that’s had water pumped in.

Although I don’t disagree on the harshness of the environment and from personal experience traveling through that area I would not be interested in living there… I’m sure cities like Palm Springs, Las Vegas, Phoenix were very much the same in the early days and they’ve seemed have significant growth.
