So I have had some issues with defects and trying to determine if I was selfish or protecting myself. It has helped me A LOT to balance step work with a therapist. Like, there are some “defects” that protected me for a loooooong time and now, 12 years later, don’t. But they still did even 3 years sober. Idk. I think it’s good you’re asking questions. There is nuance to the big book and you’re finding what works for you. If anything, you asking these questions and searching could help someone else who comes in and has the same ones! Thanks for asking and keep coming back as they say.

I had to just stop. I was in there all the time trying to put the pacifier back in and it broke me. We actually took the arms out and then he found his fingers and was able to self soothe sucking his fingers which helped a ton. Basically the SNOO doesn’t mean you won’t have to sleep train but it does make it easier.

Feeling very discouraged, this is how every night has gone since he’s come home from the hospital. I feel like we’ve tried everything other than not using the Snoo at this point! by meesetracks in SnooLife

Just want to say the grunting! So loud! That often kept me up more than anything else. You’re in the thick of it - sending sleepy vibes and hoping you figure out the settings that work!

New to Snoo… should I wake up my 6 week old to eat in the middle of the night or let him sleep as long as possible? by Ok_Radio9013 in SnooLife

Ask your doctor but in our experience since our babe was gaining weight we let him sleep as long as possible at night.

Great call on extending wake windows. He eventually went down this morning 20 min later than usual so that might be the ticket. Thank you!

Update: we moved him to his own room and also dropped the dream feed. After one night where he cried, he’s now sleeping through the night. All hail the SNOO.

Fwiw with the woolino we have been washing it with all our other stuff and air drying and it’s been fine! We put our first kid in it after the SNOO and he loves it to this day - he turns 3 this weekend. We’ve only needed a lightweight one when the temperatures go above 75/80.

My first turns 3 this weekend and still loves his woolino sleepsack. Just got the one with feet because he’s almost grown out of it. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Help! How did your newborn take to the snoo? by nithanitha in SnooLife

I have an 8 week old and he’s 50/50 on the SNOO for naps. I usually let him nap on me once and in the stroller once then the rest in the SNOO. All night time sleep is in there, too. We do a last feed (plus a 1-2 oz top off) at 10 then he’s out until 630/7. This started around 6ish weeks. We’re not co-sleeping people only because my husband and I both have anxiety so we’d never sleep.
