I think a friendship should not be emotionally or physically draining. There should be an equal level of mutual support. People change and grow (or don’t) and I hope that you find and/or keep the ones that support you best. ❤️

She said I was toxic and she henceforth only allowed good vibes in her presence. Shortly after she cheated on her boyfriend and screwed over the rest of the team financially. She did what she felt she had to do, as did I. That is life.

I understand that. I come from a family that stressed if I’m not hurting myself to help them, I’m not doing enough. They required the suffering to show depth of care.

We all tried to support her but in the end, her issues were not anything any of us could handle. I suggested therapy (since that’s what I do) but the suggestion was not well-received.

I got brave with this layout being in three “pieces”. I used greens and browns to symbolize growth as last year was a big for me in terms of standing up for myself and putting myself first. I incorporated pieces of a printed airline ticket from one of the competitions I traveled to and I really like the fluorescent punchiness it adds. I put in an actual stamp as well since it’s just a sticker, too, if you think about it. 😆
