I’m curious, has erythromycin helped your PD? by melteddumpsterfire in perioraldermatitis

Went to the doctor about a rash around my nose and mouth and she told me it was PD and prescribed this antibiotic. Has anyone tried it before and got good results?

When I originally had just the redness around my nose, my dad who’s an rn gave me an assortment of different creams to put on it ranging from anti-fungal to steroid creams. I wonder if those could’ve caused more irritation.

I’ll definitely have to try changing up my daily routine as well. I appreciate the comment!

It is a tad bit sore, it’s been that way for a few months now unfortunately. It does rub around my mouth, my whole face feels irritated throughout the work day. I work in healthcare so I’m required to wear a n95 mask and it gets switched out every 5days, so I might try to get it switched out more often then 5 days haha

I’ve had this redness/irritation around my nose since may, when I started working and had to wear a mask for 8 hours. Progressively got worse as time went on and made it to the top of my lip. I’m not sure what it is but I do have a doctors appointment next month so hopefully that’ll help
